Jeff- Congratulations on the new chicks! Glad that the hatchery you used is a good one!
Exersiced this morning, took shower, than layed in bed to watch some morning news...by 7:30am I was asleep again and slept til 10:30am!!!! Kids got up had breakfast and worked on their school work. We are almost done and I got a 3 hour nap this morning
Off to get lunch around, everyone snacked on my breakfast this morning so kids are just starting to get hungry
Here is your homemade strawberry pop tart MJ, and have a hunk of bread with it too. Craig and I tried a pop tart and they were very tasty. We decided when I make my raspberry jam, that I should make another batch of the pastries and they would pretty much be Pop Tart Nirvana.
Sarah-----I got the bread and the pop tart recipe from the Chickens in the Road blog www.suzannemcminn.com is the link, I think. They are made from pie crust. Roll the crust dough out into strips, spread jam or cinnamon sugar/butter mixture into one piece, top with another, press seams together and bake. Then drizzle with icing. I am going to make the cinnamon sugar ones in the recipe next, as those are my kids favorite pop tart.
thank you Boyd and Sarah. i am excited to be 38! woo hooo!
thank you for my yummy poptart, Bluberrylu! and your bread looks loverly! i saw that recipe on her site and wondered if it turns out nicely. now i know!
How about "The Ghoul" ,Sir Graves, Tails from the Crypt, 4 O'clock movie. And on saturday mornings Scooby Do, Road Runner, Bugs Bunny to name a few. Then how about the Bowery Boy's, Spanky and the gang, 3 Stooges. I think we grew up with a lot of great shows. At least back then it was only a slap to the head or a poke to the eye or Willey E Coyote getting the snot blown out of him. Unlike kids shows today. *sigh At my house, grand kids know 2 hours a day of TV and must be educational like Disney, PBS, History Channel and thats it.
Those were days! Gosh Im showing my age LOL
We're hatching here today. Have 4 Guineas so far, all pieds and one is lavender WOO WOO as soon as I get my new camera, I'll take pictures. (last one drown in the storm/flood)
Anyone wanting laying hens Ive got an order into Townline Hatchery for Isa's that will be shipped next week they said I can add to my order if they have extras as this is the last of the Isa's until February.
