I took centrum performance vitamins 2 times a day while sick and it only last 4 days (flu/sinus) What ever this bug is going around, everyone I talk to , has it or is just getting over it. Think I'll stay home over the weekend. I was at Kroger in Imlay yesterday..I looked around and you could tell the persons that werent feeling good. Either sneezing, coughing or watery eyes. I grabbed some milk and got out of there.

Question: can our chickens catch our colds/flu?

Cristy -- everyone here has that bug as well. I came down with it Tuesday night, hubby seemed to be catching it last night. I'm still feeling terrible but not quite as bad as last night so maybe that was the worst of it.

Thanks for the get well wishes! Its hard to be sick when serving people food. But as the store manager, I really can't replace myself. So off to work I go. Lots of OJ, tissues, and vitamin C drops.

MJ - go for the turtle soup. We had a turtle early this week - see early posts - and we let it go. Maybe we should have eaten it after all! Fried turtle sounds yummy!

Had a bit of a surprise yesterday. I found five new chicks poking their heads out from under my one broody hen. She's still sitting on a number of eggs, so we'll see how many "pop" in the next day or two.

well, what the hay! i want to know if Hillbillyhen is having a good b'day. maybe she is sleeping in! i hope her ears are feeling better!!!!

the doc said that the flu bug is everywhere. it's bad. i am feeling a little better this a.m. i hope to awake to a great feeling tomorrow! and i hope all of you do also!

i think i will put mr. turtle (aka Gamera) in the pressure cooker. being an old dude, he may need some steam to make him tender and delish!!!!

good morning all. Hope all you sickies feel better soon. Sure miss this place sometimes. I had been missing a few birds now and then over the past few weeks. (6 all together) and put the birds up. About a week later, found out the culprit is a red fox. Pretty big one too. now the poor babies are only allowed out a little bit. We do have plans to try to trap the bugger. I have been reading about it seems to be a bit difficult.
