Those snappers have a bad attitude. They are considered a delicacy down "heah".

Opa says hello to all Michiganders, he should be home sometime over the weekend. Caught him on the phone today- he is in Piggott AR, far NE corner. The land that missed the internet!

I once tried to move one that size off of I-69 before he got run over. I almost lost my big toe!

I had sandles on and tried to give him a shove from behind to push him off the road, WOW can they spin fast!!

I jumped back and my husband is sitting in the vehicle laughing his butt off at me. Finally succeeded and saving his ungrateful butt!

AUCTION DIRECTIONS

This if from Grand Rapids!

Go east of Grand Rapids on I-96 to Clarksville exit 59, then 7 miles straight south on Nash Highway to #14382 or 5 miles west of Lake Odessa on M-50 to Nash Highway, then 1/2 mile south to the sale site on: WED. AFTERNOON, SEPT. 30, 2009 at 3p.m.

Let me know if some of you plan to go like to meet someone new.

Hope directions are good for everyone.

MJ my FIL will butcher snappers. Get some good tough pliers and get him on his beak or mouth he will hold on tight and so should you. Lift him in the air and chop his head off. Catch the rest of him in a bucket. Let it bleed out and butcher. I don't eat it. But half of the family loves fried or baked turtle and turtle soup. Here is the one I caught today. Much cuter and smaller than that one.

That's my thumb right behind him.

Dudette, you have confused me with another? I am ranchhand, a friend of Highlander.

Turtle soup is actually a delicacy heah.... one little CAN goes for about 4-5 bucks. Fresh and homemade? Probably priceless! (personally, I wouldn't touch the stuff.)

And I'm with Rick- those boogers can take a hand off easily, and since we have seen you without the use of both hands, you need both! No more timeouts from BYC, young lady! No more typing with one paw.

The shell will be tough to clean out- if you put it on an ant bed for a while, they will do most of the work for you.

I am thinking that it is at a house.

With this auctioner it usually is.

There are tractors, Hay equipment, Stone pickers, Tillage Equipment, Wagons, Miscellaneous- Chicken Equipment small items.
Bale and Grain Elevators.

They say to be on time will not take long and that the small stuff goes first and the equipment last.

Hope this is good information this is all I have.

...do you think you could maybe get those recipes for me by any slim chance? i found a few soup recipes but i wonder if deep fried would be good???? i have a deep fryer!

Jason
....gotcha...no kidding, at auctions, the little stuff flies quick! thanks for the info! is there a phone number for the auction house that is running it by any chance? if so can you pm it to me?

MJ I will call tomorrow and get the recipe strait from my husbands Aunt Tootsie. She is 85 I think and the person who makes it the best I am told. I will pm you with it tomorrow. It's not deep fried though it's pan fried.
