Hey Shelleyb, instead of chicks or eggs, I'd just be transporting you!

No problem, girlfriend!

Boy, look at all the stuff I missed cuz I had to work!!Miss Jayne -- my mouth is watering just looking at the bread. All the horses looked just beautiful! Opa -- you're quite a hunk! with or without the mustache. Chickenfest would be a blast, but I think it would be tooo far for me to go; its 3 1/2 hours just to the Bridge, plus wherever you'd decide to have it. I guess I'll keep dreaming of spring chickens

Awwwww, isn't Sam the cutest thing?! Sounds like he is as attached to his mustache as my husband. Mike has had his since he was 12, yep, 12, and has never shaved it. I am not sure I would recognize him without it! I love a good mustache, and don't mind a nice trimmed beard either!

Christy17 maybe me and you can car pool, I am in Gladstone so who knows if we start early enough and share the driving, we will have to see.

I will be up to my eyeballs in chicks by then I hope. I have 54 designer chicks in my bator as of this morning. And the only hen I have laying is a barred rock/dorking mix and I put her egg from today in there as well. I have 13 hens and am only getting an egg from one LOL I paid over $70 in feed in the month of Dec and got 19 eggs LOL too funny. That is something like $3.68 an egg LOL.

I also found a source for Buff Orp eggs and this person has English stock, I am hoping that in Feb he will be able to send me 3 to 4 doz eggs from them. My friend seen his Chickens and said they are HUGE so I tracked him down LOL.

I will also be sending for 4 to 6 dozen BL/BLK/Splash Orps for right after I hatch the buffs or before if he can't get me the buffs in Feb. Somewhere in there I hope my dorkings will start laying and I will be hatching some of those as well.

Big plans LOL I will not be keeping all these hens LOL I will be harvesting my extra roo's. So who knows what will happen the best laid plans and all that.

Steve, if you were in Rapid River last weekend then you were only about 10 miles from me if that. If ya head from there to Gladstone and take the Days River Road cut across to M35, follow it to the end. You are only about 1 mile from me, give or take a turn or two LOL. I seen your pic and thought man I have seen him before. I use to work at the Mobile in Gladstone by the lake it is a shell now and then I worked Admiral gas station in Esc for a while too. So who knows we may just have met. Of course I worked other places as a cashier as well.

Meeting sounds good but I can't plan too far ahead. As ya never know what life will throw at ya.

Do you ladies like Tom Selleck too?

zookeeper, I have been down days river road many a time. Been in that convience store as well....you probably did wait on me, I lived there for 22 years. My wife worked for the guy who owned all those
Shell stores (Frank Peters)(deceased) She did all his hiring, accounting, ordering etc.

Sounds like meeting somewhere in the middle of the state might work, since we have folks way to the north.

Does anyone live along US-127, US-23, or I-75? I think those are the main highways...

Speaking of hunks what about Patrick Swayze in Dirty Dancing? Did you know it is a musical now? It is in Chicago until the 17 th. Then going to the east coast then to the west coast.
I really want to see it but I don't have the time to go before then. Might just have to have a ladies weekend away to LA California in the spring to see it!

Hey everyone,

I've been away from here for awhile now, but just was checking to see what was happening with the Michigan people. We are now living in Eaton Rapids. I wanted to see the hogs, but can't find the picture you guys are talking about! We are thinking of getting a few this spring to feed out, and I want to learn all I can in the meantime.

I'm in for the chickenstock, too! When and where will it be?

Now I am just sitting here watching the snow pile up around my big empty red barn. Chickens and piggies and a big garden in the spring! I can't wait!

Cheers!
Val

Mornin Opa.

Well you probably look closer to your avatar than I do mine.

Had some fun on another forum......myself and another fella had the same first and last name, (have to use a real first and last name on that forum) except he spelled his first Stephen and mine is Steven. We both have the same avatar and claim to be twins. we had a ball with that gig, it helped that other members played along knowing we really werent. I have a 69 Chevelle SS, he had a 69 Camaro SS....it was funny cause we had a lot of similarities other than the name.

No, I haven't seen the movie, I guess I'll have to watch for it.
