I just came in from snowblowing the loooong driveway out and I look out the window, there are HUGE flakes coming down.....lots of them. Guess I wasn't done afterall.

It must be warming up, the coop was up to 34 degrees. And I got one 10 eggs so far instead of the normal 9. Maybe more as the day goes on.

Snowflakes sure are prettty, but I am ready for spring.

Well, I shoveled the runs first and got almost everyone out with some leftovers and scratch. Got the coops all clean and they look great! The mama didn't come out with her babies yet. Can't wait until spring when they can free range everyday again! The snow today is very pretty...huge flakes! So nice to be outside when it isn't so cold and windy, I could have stayed out all day!

Didn't get pecked in the eye either...thank goodness.

I might have to get me some saftey glasses, DH is worried I will lose an eye out there. I never should have told him about miss jayne!

I think I have the plans for my new coop to build in the spring. Now to just convince DH that 3 coops really isn't too many.

In 3 weeks I will be in nice and warm Honduras!!!!

Had to rub it in!

We are home from church. Had to stay and help set up tables for a funeral tomorrow.

Getting ready to go to a meeting for Honduras.

Enjoy the nice warm weather we are having! It is a heat wave:)

Miss Lady Jayne- I did'nt care for the Farm House when it first opened, I though the food was too greasy. But Teitz in Imlay was sold and I felt the food there had gone down hill. Gave the Fam House another try and liked it better this time. Since I wasn't a regular customer I guess I really haven't noticed a big change in the food except its not as greasy anymore. The biscuits and gravy where really good this morning.
The pork chops are awesome.

Kris,
I wanted to swim with the Dolphins too but we didn't have time. Maybe next time.
I've talked to others about the all inclusive thing but I think we liked going out and roaming around.
We ate at alot of interesting places and hopping on the bus to go Tulum was lots of fun and met alot of interetsing folks along the way.

That is the big draw back on the all inclusive, staying at the hotel and not getting out to see the sites as much. Its great if the beach is all you are interested in. Could'nt talk my traveling companion into just one night out to a restuarant

CottageRose: I was in Playa over Christmas. Walked past your bungalow everyday. We were up Calle 40 in a condo. Couldn't budget to stay at Shangra La. Not with two kids. Maybe next time.
Here's a photo of a Christmas parade. It's kinda neat to wear shorts on Christmas...
