Miss Jayne STOP twisting my arm!

Which is the best PET breed? Cant eat a friend, its just wrong. Mr Turkey would be a friend. My friend- my freezers friend only if he acted the ass..

My brother in laws Tom was all white- and he was in love with me. i knew how to talk turkey, I guess. he would strut and make little love sounds- and the hens hated me...hahahahaha. jealous birds.

Oh!!! I just got back from the doctors...

Now play nice anyone have serama chickens?

Holding out LOL tell me about them their personality care that stuff caging in doors or out?

I have a small flock. Mainly two breeding pairs, cause I always seem to get rid of all the chicks. My roo/hen ratio has been about 3:1 from hatching, so pairs go well but have to get rid of extra cockerals. I'd like to keep a few hens, but it never works out. I live in city limits, so I needed the "quietest" rooster. 1 is very quiet, while the other is not at all. #2 is looking for a new home currently. They have great personalities and are very confident. My little roo even does his strut around our standards, even though he is 1/4 of their size. Mine have been out in the coop all winter with just a heat lamp. They could also stay indoors in a cage. Hope this helps a little.

Mom 2 Em All - Great Job!!! That is one of the hardest things to do, so don't go back now. You can do it, and you'll see you'll eventually feel much better.

i love these guys, non aggressive. i would think anything that was not a cross (the fast growing types) would be fine. especially if you get them as poults.

you all NEED turkeys!

Just read on the slate & bourbon turkeys. 23 lbs. for both for the toms. That "seems" pretty big...

I may need to have one, M_J! I'll get with you closer to the meet/greet/swap - hoping you can make it on 7/11!!! I'm almost done with the post info., want to run it past a few folks first.
