morning-confirmed kittens on the way. med size parent white blue eyed with lots of tan and greys. The new corgi moves in today. 3-2 date on my chick arrivial. Lots of prep work today.
Those chicks look great.

Good morning!! Playing hookey this morning. Suppose to be doing a teleconference, decided I didn't want to!! After I made both kids go to school - they both were "sick" Am I bad or what?!?! Evil laugh
MJ - those chicks are soooo cute. I want some sooo bad. I have to wait til at least April so its warm enough out side for them. I have to keep them in the garage; hubby said no more in the house. I 'll settle for that if I can get more fuzzy butts!

Welcome back, Sarah! Oh....WHY didn't you bring some warmth and sunshine along with you????

I moved the chicks I hatched in mid-December from the basement to my barn pen over the weekend. Poor things were in shock for the first couple hours, even though they have two heat lamps in their pen! This a.m. they look a bit more settled.

I've got the MAJOR hatch bug....I think I'm going to throw some EE/copper black marans in the bator for some olive eggers! Their eggs should be nice & dark green when they begin to lay. Just last week, my wheaten penedesenca/ameraucana began laying, and she lays the prettiest light olive green egg...I'm ALL about a pretty egg carton!

MJ, those chicks are just too cuuuuuuuuute!

Sun is shining over here, weather said we're supposed to get lake effect, but all i see is sun!!!

We're starting on the construction of chicken house later this week I think, and if everything goes right it will be almost free!! I'm getting donations from some people that have left over building supplies!! Yay!!

Freebies are good.

I had been trying for years to give away 4 boxes of unsued vinyl siding left over from houses that were special order and I couldn't return for a credit.

4 boxes would have covered a very large coop!

They had been sitting in my shop for umpteen years and finally last summer I threw them in the vinyl recycler.

Sure would have been nice for someone......
