Thanks for all the prayers guys! I will be at Ingham Regional. The Dr. gave me the choice, but I told her it was up to her, where ever she was most comfortable. I am most familiar with Sparrow as that is where my daughter was at when she was in for 6 weeks, but that is ok. It is just outpatient, so no big deal.

Yes that goes for me also.

We have drifts up to you know where here. And tomorrow we will be out snow blowing, and shoveling for our customers. I wonder how many more times we will have to do this. You all have a great evening and a sunny day tomorrow!!!! ( hopefully waiting for a miracle)!! Goodnight. Gail

Vicki2X2 speedy recovery to you!!
Steve: we have a pond, and ducks. Two years ago we had the duck coop by the pond, now we have it across the yard,, (behind the DMZ) zone. Anyway, we let the ducks out, show them the pond, put them in there and invariably, within 10 minutes, they waddle back to their cage area. by themselves. They are homebodies, for sure. Even when we let them free in the yard, they don't go to the pond too often, which is just as well, because the pond is by the road, and there is no fence between the pond and the road. the ducks would make their routine visitation areas all around the yard, in relation to where the sun was. They also never used to go in the front drive, which was nice and then all of a sudden one day they discovered that area and we had to shoo them back to the back yard. I was afraid they'd go out into the road from the driveway.

I was worried once when I accidentally let the aussies out and they flew away that I'd never get them back, but they didn't go far either and I totally relieved. So the calls, (which we don't have anymore....racoons got them..and the cold got a few last year too....they made it through a real cold snap, a relatively warm day came and they were dead!!--couldn't figure that one out!) Had one left which we gave to a friend as she was in need of a male.

So, we end up filling pools, or sleds full of water by their area and they are happy with that.

I will try tomorrow to get some pics of the BLRW chickens after the kids go to school. I have an "ark" that I need to replace the egg door hinges on before its safe to put the birds in there. I also want to put some kind of latch on the egg door so that racoons can't get in there too. We just have had ducks in there, so they never used the nesting area before. My gf made the ark too. Its lovely!

Runners are funny to watch and they lay eggs all the time I have a couple dozen in the refrigerator right now.

I read that in my duck book, that a runner duck can lay 350 eggs a year! That is amazing! Thanks for the PM, I will get in touch with you after we get the house done. I don't want ducks in my coop again! Too messy!
I will let you know when I have info

Thanks so much!

Good night all!

Vicki saying prayers for you.

I think I missed something, did someone post a thread about a set of triplets and it was a lie? Can someone pm me and fill me in on that one.

I havn't been traveling much on the board since my last surgery just get on go to the threads I am subscribed to and get off. I also lost 2 babies (very early on for both) and would of had a hard time with that kind of thread.

Another cold morning awaits us but the days are getting longer. It's supposed to be in the 30's instead of the 20's but weather is alot like relatives, you haven't any control over what you get.

Hope works part time at a donut shop and starts at 5am. She worked yesterday until 4pm and was told to expect today to be longer. Fat Tuesday is a big deal around here. Pazki sugar bombs 1500 calories, sounds like something we all need several of.

Good morning everyone!

At least it isn't snowing and the sun is out.

Steve...you just ate 2 days of calories in one meal (at least for me)! None for me with trying to get in shape:)

Off to get school going for the kids.

Put the hens on craigs list that we are trying to sell. My daughter is being very picky as to where they go. Hopefully we will get the right buyer.

I think I am going to order the new chicks this week, that way with the new ones it will hopefully be easier for the old ones to leave. They should be laying by September then.

Have a great day! It is very cold this morning, dress warm to go and tend to the chickens.

Sarah
