Just let the flock out and brought a bowl of treats -- Let the feeding frenzy begin!! I had a big poopcorn bowl full of fruit, leftovers, and a few pieces of bread. It was gone in a minute!! Talk about scavengers!!

Cat-

hubby hunts at S Allen Rd and Arkansaw (sp) Rd. anywhere near you?

Miss Jaynee-

Hubby says he likes the idea of hunting across the street from you. Whatcha got out there? I told him that the turkeys were OFF LIMITS- they could be family.

I know that I would never post anything that could be termed instigation.

I found the perfect present for Miss_Jayne

well, i do have a few Tom's that will be going to Freezerville, so if he wants to pop some noggins, it's all good by me.

there are deer (of course), wild turkeys, LOTS of rabbit, squirrel (Crystal, plug your ears, well eyes), possum, mink, sharks (okay, i made that up), pheasant, quail, coyote etc. the DNR is really great out here. they encourage legal hunting. i am not sure what is in season right now, but my DH would. oh, skunk too. apparently the pelts are highly sought after. coons...everywhere!

also...we have shoot outs and turkey shoots at our church, up the road a piece. any men can participate, not just those who attend our church. all are welcome.

Just read your post to my hubby- and he got all excited, like well- me when I am reading about different eggs I need to hatch.Miss Jayne- his response was " BE FRIENDS WITH THAT WOMAN!" lol, and he doesnt even know you cook yet....

Husband is asking me to put an APB out there to all my Michigan chicken friends-
He would like to pheasant hunt with our Golden retriever-
and he is wondering if anyone has some field they can go out on. (field with pheasant an actual bonus). He is a good man, he would share his bounty. *note that is bounty, not booty*

just saw an ad in the local paper for pheasant shoots. $100, 7 birds per man. seems you could stock your own for that cost!
um, i don't want ANYONE sharing a booty anywhere near me!

when the guys go hunting here i make them a HUGE brunch for in between. sausage gravy, buttermilk biscuits, potatoes and onions roasted in the oven, bacon, eggs, cinnamon rolls and whatever else i have hanging around. 'man breakfast'.

friends for sure!
