Good mornin' all. Sure looks like it's going to be a wonderful day. Cleaned up the garden yesterday and turned over a little bit of it just to watch the chickens have a ball scratching for worms.

What a beautiful day yesterday!! Spent all afternoon outside -- spent an hour picking up landmines

and rocks out of the yard and didn't even mind it. Let some of the chickens out of their run to walk around while I was out by them. Boy did they like that!! My little Dutch Bantam roo was sure strutting when the "big" guys were left in. What a sight! Suppose to be another great one today. Get out there and enjoy it!!

If you click on the links at the bottom half of the page, you can listen to my favorite Irish group, Blackthorn. These fellows are friends of my sister's. 2 of the fellows are teachers, as is my sister. They play regularly at O'Malley's in Auburn Hills. We have followed these fellows for 25 years, yikes. They came to the Irish Hills Fest last year, and play at different venues and parishes around the state. Flint Irish fest, also.

Woops, forgot to include the link: http://www.blackthorn1.com/music/index.html

. Do any of you have any St. Patricks Day traditions? We are german, not irish, so no traditional things here, but we do have a tradition. For dinner I make green eggs and ham and we read the Dr. Suess book. We have been doing it for about 7 years now and the kids still enjoy it.

We were hoping to be moved by now so we could throw a Patty Day party with green beer and cabbage and corned beef....... but no dice

Will have to make up for it next year I guess
