Prayers for your family, guitartist. Your son will be in good hands and there's always Someone watching over him. It sounds like you've made the right choice.

I know it's not exactly where HE wants to go, but I'd love to see Alaska!

Oh.... he is excited to go..... he's been wanting to go. I think I am the only one upset by the whole thing. Though... my DD is a bit sad to see him go. I've had to ask DH to curb the enthusiasm!

I have my Serama cockeral and his pullet in a flight cage in the chicken run. I put it under a workbench I have in the run...fits great. Will keep a tarp handy. Sat, the new coop will arrive, thanks to MJ... anyway, I twist tied open one of the very small doors, big enough for the big girls to stick a head in , but nothing more. The little cockerel is acting all roostery, lol, strutting and hissing and flying at them. I think this will let him show them who he is without getting creamed in the process, lol. It is so funny to watch!

Just read backwards... I will be praying for wisdom and direction for you, Guitarist.

O h so tempted. resist resist resist the temptation. I am getting 3 straight run silkies from ideal in April and could end up with at least 1 rooster. I already have a astralorp and EE rooster with a partridge rock rooster on order. Obviously I don't need more roosters. What color is he?

He's black, and ooooohhhhh so cute. I'm gonna take some pics in a little bit and I'll post them. I already have a black sizzle roo, so I don't need this little guy. But he's just the sweetest little fella. If he looks like my other when he's grown, he'll end up looking just like a silkie.

A sizzle is a silkie and frizzled cochin cross. I'm working with someone on getting them established as a breed. They're waaaayyyy cute...especially if you get one with that looks like a frizzle feathered silkie.

Speaking of an over abundance of roos, I posted 3 of my roos on Craigslist this past weekend. I had a gentleman who was supposed to come out and pick them up but didn't show
