The cowgirls and I got 8 new chicks at the store!

I know I am weak!

We got 3 EE and 2 Isa Browns and 3 barred rocks! I thought the barred rocks would help because they are big russ' favorite. He couldn't believe I bought chicks. He said did you forget that you have 60 eggs in the incubator!??!?! and then he said did you forget we are going to a poultry auction on Sat!?!?!?! I assured him its not too many

Poultry auction??? Did you say Poultry auction? Where might this be????? I'm kind of a newbie when it comes to this stuff. Although I've had chickens/ducks for about 5 years now. Hubby has just recently realized that the frenzy just won't go away

Hillsdale is my area! MJ and her family are coming on Sat.... to deliver my beautiful new COOP!!! Maybe you should go to Hillsdale, lol. You don't by chance have any Serama eggs for sale, do you? Or pullets? (He Hee, look at me take advantage of chicken auction temptation!)

I leave for a couple hours and you guys have Vicki wanting to drag me to DUNDEE?!?!?!? I can' go there vicki!!!! Don't know know there's a Cabella's there and the second the hubby hears Dundee we're screwed into 3 hours of dead mounted animals and fish tanks LOL. I love that store but going in there means too much money leaving my pocket!

SOOOOOOOOO.....I think we should stick to our original plan on Hillsdale.

The auction is in Ravenna at noon, I have never been, but my ole cowboy friend say they have everything, chicks, chickens, ducks, rabbits, goats, etc. I can't wait!!! They do it the 1st and 3rd Saturdays. I missed the last one, but I am going to this one for sure. I will bring my camera and my bidder number, it could be dangerous! Big Russ took the day off to keep me in line!

I told him we could always bring the trailer in case all the critters won't fit!

I keep hearing about these Hillsdale things.... how are they? Lots of little chicks or just older birds? Lots of sickly birds? Lots of people? Easy to get to? Dish please! I want to go.... but all I have heard is Hillsdale

LOL I don't even know where to begin searching.... is there a website?

I figured out which of my Ameraucana hens is laying! She was finally caught in the act... while my blue roo sat right in front of her on the box's ledge

It was the cutest thing! And me with NO camera!




I wish that one wasn't so far! Sounds like FUN!!! Can't wait to see what you get!

Jenny's right, Hillsdale is closer and has everything. Plus, Cabela's is dangerous and would mean we had to bring our husbands!!

Of course, we were just there last weekend with the scouts and who bought something??? Yep, ME! It was a really soft sweatshirt though!!

Hillsdale is OK....you can get some poultry and other supplies there pretty cheap...but you have to watch out for disease like you would anywhere else. I've got a long story that made hillsdale go up a notch on my "S"-list (poopy-list lol) maybe someday I'll tell...but it's not a bad sale and things are usually pretty decent prices.

You live too far away Angie?!?!? There's no such thing as too far when it comes to animals! LOL I'm heading to my breed nationals for my english lops and it's in Bloomington,Il at the end of this month. I've gone as far as KY, KS, NY, TX....and many other places with my rabbits....a habit maybe....an addiction.....I THINK SO.
