I have only been once, but my understanding is, it depends on the day, it varies greatly on who is there as to what is there and what prices go for. You can get great deals or sometimes things go for good money, just depends. I think they have a site, let me look....................

Keep trying. I went through all the same with mine and I intend to just keep going.
We had a guy to come out and fix out pump awhile back. The part was less then $15.00 and him doing it cost us $120.00. Took him about ten minutes.
Hope everyone gets over their sickness. Will pray for you all.

About the son with the problems, we went through the same with ours. You raise them the best you can, try to instill good values and choices and pray for them every day. Ours are all grown and I still pray for them every day. God willing, things will work out for the best for you. I know how hard it is to make that decision.

Took our Momma silkie out with her 3 babies and put her with the others and she is doing great.
Got to go! Prayers for you all!!! Myrna

After 45 years of working in the construction industry you would think I would be used to seeing work performed at less than proper. It doesn't surprize me but it still p***s me off. Today I went to remod a small 1/2 bath. The homeowner informs me that the toilet has rock slightly since they moved in 30 years ago. When I removed the 3 year old carpet I discovered that the toilet flange was a full 1/2 inch above the floor and the floor was wet and rotted. This was the 2nd toilet I encountered improperly install this month. That people can perform a task and not do it properly still iritates me to no end.

Haha, actual not very hard. I've never had to bathe them once. But then again they getting treated like house pets and have there own pen in the basement since they get picked on by my Cochins. We had blues aswell but my Barred roo killed all the hens trying to...well you know.

In response to the hillsdale auction. previous post was correct. Living close I can go every week.It depends alot on who is there that week with stock to sell. Some weeks its pity purchase and some weeks it gold for the price of tin.Its a decent walk around and a good buy for a bag of onions if nothing else.

Opa- sorry about the umproperly installed toliets! More work for you and more $ the homeowners are out.

Speaking of auctions, there is one in Williamston at Gyer's Farm Services. on Dietz Rd off of Grand River. Not sure if they started up yet or not.

Rachel and I took up a bunch of roosters last summer. Lots of diseased birds. Rachel talked to a few folks and they were bummed that they bought sick/diseased animals. Some of the worse leg mites I have ever seen.

We have a rooster available if anyone is interested...hint...hint

Kids are feeling a lot better. Now if no one else gets it:)

I bet I have something none of you have right now.

I have two hens in my van.

They overnighted there. My mom was rushed to the hospital yesterday afternoon with a bloody nose that would not stop. Her blood pressure was 214/115. A coworker whom I gave chicks to last year decided he didnt want them anymore- so he brought them up to work. It was late late when I retrieved them, so I just left them there in their carrier. I will set them up this morning when the sun comes up.

They packed my moms nose- and gave her meds to lower her blood pressure. She has been on blood pressure medication for over 20 years. She was at the doctors three months ago, and her meds were working then- so I dont know whats up.

I have to take my hubby to the doctor at ten (dont know why he is incapable of going without me) and then go to the hospital.

You all have a great day- and I will post pictures of my two old new hens when I get a chance. One is silver laced and the other is gold laced. Both are easter eggers.

Oh no... I hope your mom is feeling better... my DS gets nosebleeds and they are no fun

Looks like Sat is a goat auction? My poor DH is switching to 12s on Friday...so I doubt I could convince him to attend a goat auction with me on Sat.... but I want to go and get a feel for things....... we shall see. Is Sat when they have the birds? Is everything pretty much right there at that auctionhouse?
