My hubby finally started building my bantam coop yesterday. It was suppose to be a winter project.

After much nag... encouagement, he went and got lumber and started. Got the base done. Can't wait to get the bantams out of the garage and onto some grass!

Good morning everyone!! Went to bed early last night, looks like I missed a lot of gabbing!!

Sam, I know I went from no chickens to tons of chickens in less than a year and it is crazy. I can't wait until we move and have a big barn and I can organize my pens nice and neat. Instead of just throwing up things as fast as possible, grabbing cheap sheds, etc. I tend to jump in with both feet.

Morning All!

I never got my barn before my chickens either. A friend of ours gave us 13 chickens when we first moved here 5 years ago. Then I wanted more chicks, now mine are hatching more. I have 6 silkies, 3 reg , 1 bantum, and 8 more pipped.

I didn't mind losing sleep on the chicks hatching. I get so excited over them.

Besides, we are not getting older, but better!!!

Woke up early, puttered around, had my oatmeal and still with my coffee. Ready to go for the day.
Our youngest son and his wife are supposed to come over some time today. They may be moving in with us for awhile again. We have a camper and they stay in that. Kind of like camping around here. We have a bon fire and are close to some lakes for fishing.
Got to go check on the bator again. I hear movement!!

Good morning ya'll! My hubby and I spent most of Sunday putting trim on my new chicken house. Hubby stops working, looks at me and says "Are we building a Barbie dollhouse?" I just died laughing and said "yep!" Although I opted for barn red and white trim, I just love the look of all the old barns in our area.

A nice family came and picked up our 3 roos we had posted on Craigslist this past weekend! He had too many hens and only 1 rooster. So we were all happy

AAAAANNNND, MJ should be hatching out some Phoenix chicks today!!! Yeah! Let's all pray she has a good hatch

On a scary note, hubby called me on his way to work this morning and said a red fox was walking our neighbors property. Thank God my chickenbutts are locked in their Play-Pen

. Still hate the thought of that guy skulking around by our house.
