When it comes to frizzles, it doesn't matter to me if they're hens or roos...they're both keepers!

Good morning, everyone!

Just thought I'd pop in and say hello... I think Rhandi-Jayne is the only Michigan BYCer that may know (because she is on my Facebook), but my DH and I are in the process of buying a house in Caledonia, MI. Our inspection is on Thursday. If everything works out, we'll close on the house on or before April 24.

Just got home and setting up my el cheapo 'bator ... read thru the instructions and just can't believe that a HEN can do this ... they can't even READ!!

Wish us luck; I'd so much rather a hen did this job.

Speaking of which, any tips I should give the banty's owner who is receiving a quartet of frizzle eggs tomorrow? She's pretty sure the hen will sit, but they're new to this too. I just know what worked for us when we had hens hatch out eggs for us before. They'll either do it right, or they won't.

Can you find feather site?

I've been searching through FeatherSite and haven't found it yet. Which area of the site is the pic in?

Under frizzled

Alas, the ONLY place I hadn't looked! I was everywhere except in the Frizzles! lol

Anyways, I did find it. That is a real life Big Bird! lol I'm REALLY starting to think about getting some buff laced Polish eggs to hatch.

Maybe when my bators get some free space I'll try to find some eggs.

Best of luck to you, xp, with your incubation. I think you (and the eggs) will be just fine. Just be sure to let the 'bator run for a while (24 hours is best) before you put the eggs in it...just to get it regulated. And when you put the eggs in it, the temp and the humidity is going to go nuts for a little while. But that's normal...they should go back to within normal range. When this happens, DON'T try adjusting the incubator...leave it be. It will take a little while for the bator to get back to acceptable temp and humidity, but it will.
Good luck!
