Crystal, i didn't forget about you...i ran out of time again today. geesh! my days have been oddly busy. our phone rang all day long. it was like Ma Bell routed every call to our home. forgive me for being so busy with stuff and not getting down to the business of friendship.

a man drove 1 1/2 hrs. to bring eggs for him today.

Little Daddy is crowing to beat the band right now. he just crows over and over. crazy go nuts.

Good Morning all-

Anyone want to go out to the garage for me and get me a scoop of chicken feed? The babies have depleted my indoor stash, and they are hungry....


Im having a hard time waking up this morning. I worked a twelve hour day yesterday, got home at nine thirty- and I think my family must have something wrong with them. The house was trashed when i got here- dishes, laundry, etc....there is NO way I will make an Easter meal here. Nope- its either we go to our oldest daughters house or to a restaurant.

Is it supposed to be nice out today? I sure hope so, I really need to clean the coop. And I would love to have some weather that feels like spring while I do it.

Good morning all. A little cold right now but it should shape up to be a decent day. I've got to get busy and start baking for tomorrow. Applesauce cake and peanut butter pies.

Good Morning Everyone!! I got chickies yesterday!!!

Went to TSC and drooled over them -- they were so cute!! I was hoping they got in some Barred Rocks, but they didn't. Ended up with 3 Red Sexlinks, 2 Golden Comets, and one tiny bantam. My son wanted "his"own chick so he got the bantam. He named him Mort(?). Also the DH, DS, and BIL went fishing, brought home 2 nice Browns. We're doing them on the grill for Easter. YUMMY!!
I did read several posts back about the swap meet ZooKeeper talked about. Its here in my town. Might go if I can resist the fuzzybutts cuz I know they'll be there. I suppose a few more won't hurt. Have a good day everyone!! Sorry so long

Morning everyone!
That sunshine is lovely this morning, a little chilly, but it looks like it is going to be a great day!
We are putting up the garden fence today, that is a sure sign of spring!

WiredSimon-we thought about a membership, but for me to bring my daycare kids I would have had to buy a contributor membership for $125! I wasn't ready to spend that much. Since you are close by in GR we are neighbors!

Morning Everyone. I'm off to work, but need to ask a favor. I found plans for a PVC meat pen that I really like online a few months ago. I thought I bookmarked it, but now I all I can find are the plans on a PVC site (vs a chicken site). Anyone got any ideas?
