Morning all hope ya all have a nice day, sure wish we would hit some 60 degree days here, maybe we would get rid of all our snow. At least we are seeing some ground now.
We did good yesterday, a few of us got together at my sisters house and had pot luck dinner. We had
Ham
cheesy hashbrown potatoes
green bean cassarole
baked beans with meat in them
corn
potato salad
buns
fresh cranberries
deviled eggs
cupcakes
strawberries and whipped cream
strawberry shortcake (homemade pound cake for this)
lemon/lime jello whip with pecans
Sakleys fudge egg
and a bowl of assorted chocolate candy
and last but not least
JELLY BELLEY BEANS (starbursts)
Everyone went home happy and healthy, it was a hard holiday for me it was the first one without all of my children there. My oldest (27) had to work and the hours were so wacky that she just couldn't manage to get here for dinner, even though we tried to plan around her schedule, that Noon to 8 shift is just too hard, she is about an hour away from me. So one of my other sisters who lives in the same town had her dinner early so my daughter could go there for her Easter dinner, we also sent her a plate for when she got home from work. But man that was a tough day for me, and her.
Got your dad in my prayers sure hope he is doing better. Holidays and hospitals are just heart breaking all the way around.
I hope the day brings warmer weather here so that I can get out there and clean the chicken pens, we are talking soup poop here with the thaw here and the thaw there but never enough thaw to really be able to do any cleaning. Ya all know you have been there this year already. Glad the chickens don't mind that muck, but I sure do LOL. I am waiting for all the ice and snow to get out of there and it is sure a slow go here.
Have a great day today.
