HI All!!

Everyone has been so busy on here and all the babies are so cute!!! The little squirrels are adorable.
We had such a great day fishing on Saturday. I got to catch the first fish, an nice 16 inch small mouth bass.

The bad part is it is too early for it yet and had to let it go. Then my hubby caught two small pike and one keeper. He just kept it long enough to brag to our sons and turned it back.

Three of our sons and their families got to go and we had a good full day. Our son Kevin had a small grill, so we were able to have hot dogs and brats and all the goodies that go with it. Grandkids got to fish when they wanted and we brought some toys so they could play too. Went home late and everyone slept good that night.
Sunday was spent taking care of all the stuff from fishing and cleaning up the messes. Lazy day for all of us.
Friday night my son Kevin brought me a surpise, a Pomeranian puppy, a little black one. He and my hubby got him for me. I named him Prince. Cute little guy and smart also.\\
Welcome to all the new ones.

MJ how far away from Frankenmuth are you? We have been talking about going there to see the Christmas store.
The rain is much needed around here and should make all the flowers grow.

Vicki that is go great that your hubby got a job.

I don't know.............I think I would need lots of cold beers to eat the gizzards.

We went and visited the chicks today----DH went with us. He seemed to have fun hanging onto them---he would hold one for a while, put it back and get another one. He admitted they were kind of cute, and still seemed to like them even after one "christened" his hand

. He was talking about making them a coop and all------------I think he is sucked into the whole chicken thing enough that next spring I will be able to get more!!!!

Vicki - CONGRATULATIONS!! I had a feeling that things would work out, and I'm so glad to hear the news.

Staples - Where at downriver? My wife is from Wyandotte and we visit at least once a month if not more. Welcome to the site.

Steve - I've never had gizzards before, but will try anything once. I'll have to add that to my list.

Looks like I'm stuck at home for a week. Got sent home from work for "limping" around in pain. I just started playing hockey again for the first time in 3 years. We had our first game last night in Lapeer. I am the goalie. Good news is we won 4-3 in a shootout. Bad news is my knee hurt after the game. Doc says I tore the collateral ligament in my knee. 2-6 weeks recovery needed, and told me to stay home and off of it for at least a week. Anyone want to come over and feed and water my chickens???

Just got back from TSC in Corunna. They have "straight run" golden comets . . . Straight run sex-links? I think they are charging 1.89 for S run, $2.75 for pullets.

Somebody dropped the ball on that one. They do look nice and perky, so if ya want some-hustle on over.

They also just got a shipment of Stall-Dri (DE) which has been really hard to find lately.

I got to meet Opa today. He is very nice. We did not really get to visit much. It was a little chaotic with my youngest 2.

MJ I think John Blem may be your long lost twin brother. I ended up leaving with way more than I bargained for. I paid for ten and left with like 16 I think, maybe more. I only wanted 6! Then a friend told me she wanted 3. Mr. Blem kept saying here I think you might like this one. Oh I will throw in a few for free, let me go get one more you might like.

Sam ended up leaving with more than he went for also.

I think if I get new chicks next year (hubby says no more I am banned from more chicks) I will limit myself to 2 that way I end up with only 10. Anyone think this will work?
