Anyone live near Owosso?? We saw a bald eagle on M-52 and Juddville rd there last week. I at first thought it was the biggest red tail I had ever seen until we got closer and saw the white head and tail. A nature photographer friend said it nests along the river there and the farmer who owns the land has posted it big time to prevent anyone getting in there and disturbing it. A really cool sight.

last year there was sighting of a Bald here. it was sitting up on the telephone poles and it scared the daylights out of me at first look.

my neighbors were so excited. and then it just disappeared. it was strange.

Miss Jayne are you bringing anything to the Imlay City Swap Meet? After talking with you last week, Chickendad really wants some babies and I know we won't go home empty handed! He got me started and now neither one of us can stop this chicken obsession. It really takes effort to get up early enough for a swap meet. Why is it written in stone they have to start SO EARLY???

no, ma'am we are not.

i think our w'end is seriously packed already. we have ducks and chickens hatching today and some in a few days again, so it is crazy nuts here.

your husband is way too nice! i am glad some of the chicks he incubated worked out for you. blue eggs are not the easiest i am told.

we have quail, khaki campbell ducks, and ameracauna eggs all going in this week. it's really a madhouse.

hope y'all can come for a visit soon. would love to meet you two!

We went to Alaska a couple years ago and bald eagles were like robins here. In Ketchikan they roost on the pier pilings just a few yards away from you. We got so blasÃ

well, tomorrow is day 21, so we'll see how they do. then the set that you are referring to comes down to the hatching tray tomorrow. they can pop any time between 18 - 21 days. praying for a good hatch.

Thanks! We are looking forward to meeting you, too! We are at the stage where our friends' eyes glaze over when we mention chickens, so meeting other chicken people is fun. Did he put us on the list for any chicks? He is worried that his two Ameraucana babies need buddies. I know they can go in with the Wyandottes in a couple weeks, but that big brooder looks awfully empty with just two babies.
