What happened to Lacey?

Thank you. It was an very unexpected blessing to be able to move back to the area where I grew up. And quite another to be able to live on this piece of land. I love history, too! We find little things all the time -- old tools, marbles, pieces of dishes. So neat! We are so thankful to be here!

What happened to Lacey?

That is cool to live someplace where there is so much family history.

Lacey had egg bound problems. Called so many vets but the one that PO me is the "avian" vet who refused to see chickens. What difference would it make if my money was green??? Or plastic??? Chickens are cheap just go get another one?? Do they say that to people about their dogs or cats???
She needed a hysterectomy to survive. The vet I toke her to tried to help but I think her oviduct had been damaged. She passed that night. Sweet girl.

I think, instead, I will just hope that the vet will come to understand that sometimes people get as attached to our chickens as much as they do a dog or cat. He may be someone who grew up just thinking of them as my grandparents did, which was a food source.

I went to sleep at 11:00 WITH my blanket on windows closed
and no air condtioning, with my jammy shorts and a tank top on
and here I am waking up an hour later sweat soaked, and low
blood sugar. I knew I shouldnt have deceived my self some cold
icecream before I go to bed. But then again I shouldnt eat any

Crystal-Your polish mix looks just like the two I have here, it will be fun to see what they look like in a few weeks.

Shelly-If you have two roos then it is more likely that I have a hen? Right? How can you tell? We named ours Ms. Frizzy, but she doesn't look like she is going to be very frizzy.

I sure hope this wind goes away! I love the warm weather, but it blew my clothes right off the line yesterday!
