[Daycare Mom]

Morning!
We had a nice big pile of pancakes this morning! Yum!

We did lose one meaty last night. I think it got to cold and wet and didn't find its way to the heat lamp. Kinda sad even if it was a meaty. All the rest are happy, wandering around and eating.

Hopefully some of this rain will get dried up today, we have lots of puddles out there.

Hey SAm

Well we got 1 Baby yesterday morning, i think its a girl, it has the dark on the head, i will take a pic later today, that from that egg was 3-30, i'm going to sit on them until tomorrow morning, they were doing good, until that day the temp kept going up & down, so i dont know if that was it or something i did,

i did see now some didn't give go any where and other eggs where developing.

Rain, Rain go away. That's all its been doing here for the last week. I'm sick of rain!! I see you guys got the storm that we had Friday night/ Saturday morning. The only good thing today is that today is day 28 for my duck eggs DD is watching them worse then a silkie broody! Speaking of DD, she's going to Flint next week for Forensic Finals! She's done so well this year - nothing lower then 3rd place. But we here that the downstaters judges are harder then usual!

Wish us luck on both the eggs and her finals!

Hello Again!!

We went to the Maple Syrup festival in Shepherd on Friday and had a great time. Checked out all the yard sales and only spent about $20.00. My hubby was shocked!

I actually didn't fill up the truck! Some of us wound up with sunburns, but had fun anyway.
Saturday we mostly stayed in. We had severe thunderstorms in our area and they just kept rolling in all day!

I got to hang out one batch of laundry and it is still out there.

We have gotten so much water around us that the coop is half under water.

We have never had this much water before. We have let all of the chickens out, even the silkies.
Mrs Quilligan looks just like the little hen we got from Vicki.She is laying.

We used to live in Newaygo on Pickerel Lake. We loved that area and used to live over by White Cloud too. We were buying my hubbies moms house ,and when she passed away, his step father and other siblings took it away. A very painful time for us. God has kept us going.

Thanks for the welcome Chickenpal,
we are not far from Pickeral Lake, in fact my boys used to do volunteer work for Lake Haven animal rescue which is located there. One of my boys still helps out there quite often.
Keleka, you have a very lovely young lady there and you have made wonderful memories for her!
