I've had a busy day sigh.... Went fishing this morning with my 2 boys, got a couple gallons of gas for the mowers and set the oldest boy out to mow.... then I've been reading up on breadmaking because MJ was sending me EVIL pictures of her fresh homemade sweetness last week, and I have a carb craving!

Boyd you should make some of that evil homemade sweetness. It really is good! I made the Amish white bread (posted on her website) and it didn't last long here. Now I've got the bread making bug, too. See what she does to us!

Thank you, the chicks at TSC are g.comets and look to me like the isa's The gal there said well they are just their own breed is all. hmmm. ok... so I looked in breeds but there is no Golden comets listed. Guess I'll just have to buy a couple and then I will know.

I've got to get Granny up and going before to long. My niece lives in Muskegon and today after the service at her church is her daughter's baptism. So of course Granny needs to be there. This child is her 3rd great grandchild but then she counts Hope's as well so I guess this makes number five.

That's better. I think that at least half of my blood is coffee. Feels go to get some more in me. Now maybe I can function a little better. I always wake between 5 and 6, unless I have something planned; then I wake every hour to look at my watch until I finally decide to go ahead and get up. On the way home from Muskegon we are going to stop in Grand Rapids to visit with Citallk2much and get a couple of more bantam. They hatched yesterday and will be just what I needed. More chickens.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Thank you Cathy, I kinda thought so. Good! I have 2 Isa's and 4 Buff O's coming this week, so 2 Comet's would round that out quite nicely to add to my other 7 gals!

I just bought a BIG tote and all the stuff to make a neat brooder with yesterday and they had those cute lil' comets there at TSC so I'll make that today and be all ready for babies! have a great day e-1!

Morning!!! I've got the Folgers brewing, laundry going and all the girls of the house are still in bed. (peace and quiet time for me!)

Something about sleeping in till 8 oclock, and still having a couple of hours of quiet time

I really need to get to cleaning before Sam gets here to see I stink at housekeeping.

Morning all! It seems the last few days have been crazier than usual! I think I need a few more hours added to every day, I am running out of time!!

Kids are all getting geared up for the fair, picking out their animals, starting or working on their projects. It is a busy and exciting time! Plus we have my oldest daughter graduating so we that to get ready for and prom coming up. The younger ones have camp as soon as school gets out, it never seems to end! But, it is better than sitting at home being bored!

After summer camp & fair, we are heading to NY to pick up our new LGD!!

We put a deposit down a while back (before Mike had gotten laid off, thank goodness he found another job) on a Maremma pup) and will pick him up mid July. He will be 5 months and already started on his training, respectful of fences, taught not to jump, basic commands, introduced to all the type of livestock we have, neutered, utd on vaccinations, etc. We will just have to keep up on the training to finish him. We are excited!!

His name will be Remi.

So, what are your summer plans??

cute pics Patti

Done with church, heading out in a bit for a 65th wedding anniversary dinner for my MIL's parents.

We will be busy this summer with 4-H and the fair. We hope to visit my sister either at her home in St Joe or at their cabin near Mancelona. We are also tenatively planning a camping trip to the UP. We will be there for the Houghton/Hancock 4-H fair so we can watch our friend's kids show their hogs.
