Raz'sRoost :

Hello everyone,

Newbie in Ludington (halfway between Traverse City and Grand Rapids).

Just got started with 12 chicks from TSC, 2 Bantams (Edgar and Annebelle) and 10 somethings (Orps?). Then rescued 2 baby ducks that were in need of a home.

Still working on naming them all and hoping to have a roo or two also! Just started taking them outside for play time and seeing their personalities.

From the looks of everyone from Michigan we could have our own section, lol.

Welcome Raz!! We have quite the group here.

MrsChickendad, my wife loves Wojo's. We haven't been there yet this year, but we usually make it at least once. I grew up in Grand Blanc, so we are familiar with Miller's also. We now go to Walker's greenhouse which is only a few miles down the road. My wife would really enjoy a gift certificate there for Mother's Day!!

hey welcome Raz!

came home from church to find two more NHR bantams and another WC bantam hatched and a bantam brahma working it's way out!

LMC...Elizabeth said thank you for coming to pick up the poults.

Welcome new comers

its so easier to go over board on flowers, you just get that flower itch.

i went and got some today, now its just wait to plant them.

Sam those baby's are cute and the one with its little puff head.

I got 2 silkies girls and a roo. last night, and one of the girls layed an egg today, my hope is that they will go broody.

Well the big day is tomorrow to start the duck yard, got the fencing and wood. time to start building.

Here is the picture of the cherry tree on Crystal's property. As i recall, the tree is from the original orchard on the land. The house dates back to the late 1700's or early 1800's. Pretty neat!

I have a picture of my house from the 30's and there is several cherry trees that one was the first in the row and was normal size. It is now the biggest cherry tree I have ever seen. Blooms every year and sets fruit like mad. To bad you have to be a monkey to pick them.

Have you gone to Bordine's! It's fantastic! Just love going down all the aisles of flowers. I want one of every thing. Love all them colors. Hey, Wojo's is just down the street from me...and Millers is the other way not far at all. We should meet and drool over all them pretty plants!
