I think it's really fascinating!

We didn't even know each other back then, but

fate and destiny brought us together as friends today...some 20+ years later! It's just the coolest karma I've ever seen.

Good morning all, Just sitting here trying to catch up on all of the posts before waking Granny. If got to take her to Lansing to have her post injection eye check. Normally I can take her to their Howell office but this week that office is closed, so it's back to Lansing. No matter the time and expense when it comes to restoring someones vision. Every time she comments on how much trouble I must go through for her, I remind her that taking care of an old blind lady would be much harder.

Yesterday I fired up the incubator with black copper marans eggs and welsummer eggs so now the waiting begins. I don't know why I'm doing this other than chickenitis.

Good morning everyone. So far so good this morning. No rain. no new bad checks, short day at work. May try to get some gardening in if the rain holds off. Neighbors got a new horse yesterday; can't wait to see it. They have it quarintined right now -- boy is it mad!!
Boyd -- your project looks great! Wish I was a little more handier (?), I could use something like that.

I'm no carpenter, just ok at driving nails

I used some low tech to make hinges and latches... bailing twine

that way I can rehinge the door and change the swing without opening stuff up.

I like things simple sometimes

I am starting to hear some new sounds from my Serama cockerel, lol. I am not sure I would call it a crow... but I think he is starting to try! So funny... sounds like the tiniest of squeaky toys, lol.

Hi everyone!

Kinda gloomy outside this morning. I should probably get some cleaning done in the house today.

I bought 100lbs of food for the chicks and meaties on Friday and it is almost gone already!

How big do you guys grow your meaties? Mine are getting good size and not sure when to butcher. Do they die when they get to big? Last time I grew the slow white broilers and they took forever. These are the vantress and they are so fast. Thanks!
