It's raining it's pouring... well it's not really pouring but at this point I'll take any rain we can get. After weeding all the corn we put a little fetirlizer on it, this rain will do nothing but help. Yea!!

Briana...we painted them yellow and green to be similar to our house but darker. but, we did pick the John Deere shades. i will post pics as soon as everything is painted. two houses to go. glad you are getting your gardening done. do you want me to send you the schematics too for the hoop house?

Gloria...it was so great to see you and Ed again! i'll be watching for the info. our family just loves your family! you are so welcome! glad you could use it! that BBB isn't going anywhere, so if you want her, come and get her!

Oh, no. What are you gonna do? That's late notice on a wedding? We have a second cousins 4th B-day that day and the day after that a open house for my other cousins new house. It will be a busy weekend. Still not sure about chickenstock. Gotta see if my husband has to work still.

The wedding is in Pine Mountain GA. There is no way I would be able to afford the trip there now. So I will be going to chickenstock. She probably knows that I would not be able to go. We did not grow up together so we are not real close but I still love her and wish I could be there. She is only a year older than my oldest son.
Sounds like you are going to be busy.

i wore it (over yoga pants, which was craptacular!!!) and helped all the neighborhood kids make costumes out of tin foil and toilet paper. then we paraded down Gratiot Avenue and through our neighborhood during the early evening and waved at all the cars and people. it was during August/Sept. we were getting our practice on for Halloween.

it was a blast and the kids loved it. the costumes were so dang hilarious! the fact that i still have the Super Woman cape is scary though! shall i box up the cape and send it?

Super Worman cape huh? That is funny. We use towels and table clothes around here for capes. We won't be attending the Birthday due to no one to take care of chickens that weekend. It's all the way on the otherside of the state in St. Joesph. The open house in on Sunday. We almost always have too much going on. Drives the kids nuts.

I did same to my four extra roosters this Monday.I live in city and can afford 5 roosters so just just kept one(hope he doesnt crow very loud when he turns four) and got four butchered from a shop.The butcherman has a liscenced slaughter house in the back of his shop.He charged me 3$ for butchering each rooster

Just in case anyone is interested I started a grow out journal for my newest batch of Dixie Rainbows. It's in the MEAT thread. I'm not sure how to post the link here. Hmmmm

If this rain keeps up I'm gonna need the water wings for the horses again. They're the best dressed horses in St. Clair County.
