Good morning everyone. Funny little story from yesterday. My DD16 and DS10 let my 2 Dutch bantam roos out for their daily free range. they head directly to the raspberry. there was a branch 2' off the ground with the juicest berries. it took the little guys over an hour to get them all by jumping up. Its rough when you only stand a foot high! My kids watched them the whole time!!

Good morning Sam. I have to tell you, after my DH spent quite a while talking with you at Chickenstock - he now wants to find me a shed or something similiar so that I can increase my flock

He would really like to get a couple of peacocks but I think I'd like to have a couple geese instead. We're thinking we'll look for one and when/if we find one we'll go from there. Unless.... he builds me another one this fall!

Oh wow... I need to shave my border collie mix like that, but I can't because we have fair and state competitions coming up! Sigh... maybe afterward, but then he'll be all brushed out and won't need it!!!

My bloodhound breeder pals have a 6-week-old puppy that they are looking for a home for! They would rather her go to a show home because she's very good quality. Check out www.AllusiveDreamsBloodhounds.com if you're interested! The pup's dad is Rebel and the mom is Cat... there are pics of both parents on their site.

Good Morning Everyone!

I am procrastinating on weeding the garden. Started last night and probably won't finish today either. the weeds got away from me during fair and recoop week.

Welcome Tina! I live by m-59 and Grand River.

have a great day everyone!

Oh man, you have to be so careful now adays...my cousin had one come back and call her all sorts of names and try to break in!

I wanted to let you know that the BR's are settling in nicely and getting along with the other 2 hens...we decided to call the roo "Frank the Tank" lol. He's so funny and is definately king of the roost! Unfortunately it seems I've gotten rid of the only 3 hens (the rir's I sold at Chickenstock) that were laying and now I'm eggless...

The hens I got about a month ago still haven't produced an egg and they are old enough that they should be.

SOOOOOO....if anyone has a couple LAYING BR's please let me know so I have something laying...the hen I got from you should be laying soon though

Yes, that hen should be laying any day now. She is 21 & 1/2 weeks old. I like the name you gave the roo. Glad that they are settling in well.
The salesman threatned to call the cops on my DH because he took the guy's stuff and was going to put it on the front porch. I saved him the trouble and called them myself. Apparantly there were 3 other complaints about this guy yesterday.
