I am going to be on pins and needles tonight... Elliott decided that he wanted to sleep in the big coop with the big girls and boys. He did not want to be in the coop with the babies. I have already checked on him twice to make sure the big boys aren't picking on him. I am sure I will be out early tomorrow morning.

Maybe I am just overprotective.

I have salsa in the canner and waiting for it to finish up so I can go to bed.

The dog got in trouble this morning. I let him out of his kennel and he went out and got him a friend to keep him company in his kennel. One of Rachel's buff Orpington's! She is fine, no wounds, just some wet feathers.

Hello and goodnight, Friends! We took the kids for a long weekend to Cedar Point. Not my fav. for a get away, but the kids loved it, of course... so did my hubby- he rode the Dragster and every other crazy thing he could find, lol. Tired today, and thankful. All the kids had a good first day back to school.

Good Morning All-

Well Hillbillyhen??? How did he do?? The first day back went well for all in my household, even me. I was worried about my eggs but when I got home at 4 there were 7 in one box and 1 in another. I can't believe they wont lay in any of the other boxes!!

I tried the golf ball thing and still nothing. Silly hens would rather line up and sit on one another. There are 8 boxes all the same but they are like picky kids.

Well off to another day at school.

I hope today goes as well. I work at a school for all the special needs kids in our county and we had quite a few new enrollments so getting everyone settled is sometimes a challenge.

So far Elliott is ok. I haven't gone out yet this morning since my chickens don't usually go out till 8 or 9. I do plan on going out soon though.

What a party my wife and I had this morning watching the kids get on the bus for there first day. Now the days will not be filled with I am bored, why, and can I.

That is the truth.

What should really happen is that a national holiday for parents to be addressed for the first day of school. This would be a true gift to all.
