Morning everyone!

Wow what a dissappointment I was out last night at the emergency room with my daugther and when we left it was snowing like mad and wake up to this nasty stuff.

Daughter ok cheerleading injury. Pulled the muscles and tendends from her elbow to her finger tips holding a girl up in the air.

They say that we are suppose to get a blizzard starting at 1pm today. The wind is haulling butt right now in BC.

Hope everyone is safe and warm.

Morning all, can't say good, because it is nasty out there! A little excitement in our area, for those that heard about it. There were five escaped convicts from a road crew, beat and stabbed there guard and left him in a ditch and stole the prison van and headed this way for some odd reason. Please pray for the guard, he is taken a turn for the worse is now in critical condition. My daughter's friend is a correctional officer and had to escort these scum back to their prison last night and heard about the guard.

They were from Carson City, were cited near Dimondale on M99 and the police chased them towards Eaton Rapids where they lost control of their van and rolled it. They captured 4 immediately but the fifth fled on foot and it took them a little over an hour to capture him. Our schools and local businesses went on lockdown.

I was at a friends house making hard rock candy and we kept noticing the cop cars with lights on, then they pulled down a two track across from her house, pulled out their rifles. Then we heard about the escaped man! We locked the doors!

She lives right near there the sight. Fortunately by the time we knew what was going on, it was only about a half hour later and they had caught him and called off all the lockdowns, etc.

These were level 1 prisoners by the way, considered "non violent" and model prisoners. They fractured the guard's skull and stabbed him in the neck with the pitch fork things they use for picking up garbage. It makes me sick! One was within 4 months of his release date. I hope they throw the book at these scum!

Wow, Vicki! That's some excitement! Sure hope the guard turns the corner and makes a full recovery.
We got a dusting of snow and it's now melting away. Dreading what's to come...high winds and colder temps. Means the roads will turn hazardous. Take special care, you all!!

My prayers were with the officer last night when I finally saw the news. I think that we need to go back to public hangings sorry that is just a thought.

I have a hen that thinks she should be alone and she keeps getting out and going to the bird feeder and eating with the little birds. She is happy and not scared of any thing. She was scratching next to the dog yesterday.

Jason, I'm sure your daughter's arm is quite painful but I am glad you ER trip wasn't for anything more serious. I lucked out with my 3 sons and only had 2 ER trips; one was for a broken collar bone and the other was to have a deer's tooth removed from my oldest son's foot.

Right now I'm wishing that I had gotten up and gone hunting this morning. The sun is shining and the wind is minimal. Much different from what they have predicted for later today. Of course I shouldn't put much stock in the predictions because they are seldom right. Just like the 3" of snow we initially we supposed to get last night. I'm not complaining about the lack of snow it just that it seems my prediction that because I have bought a new snow blower and have the snow plow for David's truck ready to go we won't have much snow seems to be more accurate than the professional TV forcasters. Keep your fingers crossed people.

I am thinking of having my own weather channel just because I have noticed that it is an educated guess and well I can predict windy with a chance of bad weather and may possibly get better in April or May.

The most accurate forcast I ever heard was that the weather was going to clear up cloudy and come a dry drizzle.

The deer tooth. When the oldest son was 12 or 13 he and his brothers decided to use a hammer to break apart some deer skulls to get the teeth out. Evidently they didn't get everything cleaned up in the garage when they were finished. Some time later Joe, who was barefoot, was getting something out the the rafters and when he swung down he landed on a tooth that was lying on the floor. I could see the tooth completely embedded but thought I should take him to the ER to have it removed. When the ER nurse was informed that it was a deer's tooth she stated "I didn't realize that a deer would bite you". We never told her any different and have often wondered if she's afraid to walk in the woods.
