Morning all! I sure hope it is an early spring, that would be awesome! Praying that fat little ground hog doesn't see his shadow!!

I can't believe how many birthdays there have been in the last week and the upcoming week! I know of and have heard of about 10 and have another 6 or so coming up! My Mom's is today, my neice and step brother were the 26th, my daughter is the 3rd, my dad and nephew is the 4th, just to name a few. Hmmmm, April must really be a good month for making babies!!

Wow, that sounds like fun! We were thinking of trying that with our youngest. I think she would really love it, but missed tryouts because she was sick. Maybe next time. I hope Emily has a blast!

Did you really? I do bird watch some no record keeping though. I was just telling my husband today between the chickens and turkeys laying more and more and the extra birds in the yard nature is trying to tell us something. I hope they are right and we will get an earlier than normal spring. I always know when warm weather is here to stay when the swallows come.

HEY!! WAKE UP, EVERYONE!!!! It's almost 9:30 am and I'm the first poster of the day??? C'mon, Opa, where are you with your cup of coffee! Sarah, where is your stories of your kids? YooHooo.... Good morning and have a great day.

Good morning all.
My BIL is coming down from Harrison today and he warned me that he has a truck load of chickens and ducks he is bringing me and he is going to drop them off and run. He is such a tease.
I hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Howdy, folks!

I received news today that my yak meat is ready to be picked up from the processor. I also got a call from the Dept of Agri, letting me know that an inspector will be here this afternoon to (hopefully) give me my food warehouse license. Things are movin' right along.

My yak babies are doing well with their weaning. The problem is, they're quickly becoming friendly and responsive to my husband and me. They're kind of big babies, and when they come running up to us, excited to get a treat, it's a bit scary. LOL!

Gordita hasn't had her baby yet. I've got to go shuffle some sheep around today, because now Betty looks like she could go any day. Need to put Betty in the lambing pen with Gordita, and put Bella out with the ram, Big Boy. That's easier said than done. Bet it will look like a 3-ring circus. I love my sheep, but they're sure not the smartest of creatures.

Oopsy, I sent you a PM. I'm going through your neck of the woods tomorrow morning to pick up my yak meat. Can I come over to your house to play?

Good afternoon everyone!

Opa the book I am reading is "Four-Season Harvest" by Eliot Coleman. There is also an article about his work/idea in the January edition of Hobby Farm. Very interesting reading!

Good Evening!

Went to archery this afternoon- had fun! I have to shoot at 20 yards with the big target along with Emily. Harder to do than at 10 yards!

Rachel was missing a bantam at tuck in a few minutes ago. She found her tucked in the old pig feeder behind the coop. Glad she is found, I was fearing the hawk had visited this afternoon!

Off to watch the Grammy's with the kids!

Sarah

WHEN IS SPRING GONNA BE HERE?!?!?!?!
