Good morning everyone

Briana1975, my mother LOVED your place and said that she's jealous, although she said she wasn't sure she was still in Michigan. She said normally when she drives an hour south she's in Ohio.

To everyone else, I have to go downstate Labor Day weekend and since we just lost a hen a few days ago, we've been locking coop doors at night. I have a guy coming over during the day to check water, but he won't be there early/late enough to let them out/lock 'em up.

I've heard suggestions for radios, those holiday things that play music or scream when you walk past them and I could rig up a temp. battery operated hot wire (we don't have electric or even sunshine by the coop). ANy other suggestions to keep possums out of the coop while we're gone? I'm also planning on getting a live trap and keeping it by the coop.

Hi Michiganders

Fall is my favorite time of the year!

Unfortunately what comes after is my least favorite.

Due to that and our economic and financial situation, I am going to be forced to give up my stay at home, work the farm, volunteer, position and get a real job!

Due to this, I need to cut back on some stuff and before I start listing it elsewhere or taking it to auctions or swap meets, I wanted to offer it here first. There may be more to come, and if you are interested in something not listed, ask, I might consider selling. Most prices are negotiable.

2-3 BLRW roosters (between 5-8 months) gorgeous boys $10 each

Possibly some welsummer hens, 2 years old $10 each, about 4-6. Still laying great.

Pair of grey call ducks, about 2 years old. Really nice pair. $50
American Buff Geese, very nice stock, gorgeous, 2 pairs, both males are directly from Holderreads, females from a big breeder in WI. $40 a pair
American Blue Geese, 1 pair, also holderreads stock. Beautiful bonded pair $50
American Lavender Gander, holderreads stock, gorgeous boy! $25

1 runner duck, fawn & white, need to check the sex on this one. Someone gave it to me. $5
Approx. 4 Welsh Harlequin drakes about 3 months old. $5 each

Belgian Quail d'Anvers, 4 2 year old hens, 2 pullets from this spring, one gorgeous rooster, a year old. Rooster was purchased from a breeder. He was his large cockerel class last year at fowl fest, very nice boy! Asking $60 for all

I also have some serama's, but need to go through them and decide who is staying and who I can part with. I know I will have some hens that can go and some rooster, always have lots of extra roosters!

I have a chicken coop, needs some TLC, approx. 8 X 7 for sale $150.

I also have some beautiful holland lop bunnies. These are the smallest of the lop breeds, all have been handled and are very friendly. One is even litter trained and was a former house rabbit. All are between 2-4 pounds. I also have babies coming.

Asking $10 each for the two bunny's available because I really need the space.

I too have some birds I need to rehome and thought I'd post here first. Seems we got a pullet heavy straight run batch this year. I've got 9 too many point-of-lay (20 weeks and 4 days old today) Black Australorp hens. Pet quality, not show, but sweet girls and "eggy" body type so should be decent layers. I'll take $8 each and can arrange to meet for drop off in the Lansing area to make things easier if anyone is interested.

ETA: These girls have been raised "naturally" for those that care. We do not use medicated feed, chemical wormers, etc. So they have never consumed any of those things.

I could make a really good deal if you were interested in them all!!

Mainly I want them to go to a good home!
