I'm not sure about the chicks and hatching eggs, but it's been said a few times on this thread that if you want to buy something you should arrive first thing, as soon as the doors open and go straight to the sale area, don't dawdle by the show birds. They sell out fast. Hopefully someone else will be able to chime in on the other question and get that answered for you.

And just as an FYI for the future all caps on the internet is considered "yelling" and poor etiquette.

I am looking for 2-3 duck hens for a friend. Her son is allergic to chicken eggs

so they would like to add a couple of ducks to their coop for him. Would prefer breeds that are known for their excellent egg laying abilities, so they are more likely to lay most of the year. Indian runners or Khaki Campbells are probably her best bet. Prefer ones already laying, but would consider this years hatch also.

CATRAY44 I have a sebright rooster that I would love to rehome. I was going to take him to Newaygo animal swap next weekend but if she's interested here's a picture.

Good morning

Just got back from the Pine Marten Run last night. Izzie and I got 2nd, so it was a pretty good year for us (4 firsts, 2 seconds). It was BEAUITFUL!!! up there, hills just glowing gold and orange, pristine clear lakes. Too clear. I walked Izzie into one to get a drink, bottom dropped off and we were swimming! Luckily it was in the 50s by that point and 5 miles from the finish, so it wasn't terrible. She has a mild suspensory injury, so we're done for the year. Too bad because next weekend is supposed to be warm!

Oh, well. Izzie deserves a break, she's run her heart out. 150 miles, from the U.P. down to Shore to Shore and Luther, MI. Not bad for an 18 yr old horse!

Who knew.........My girls would be so prolific! I've got over 28 Salmon Faverolle chicks..... I will probably be looking to sell some once they can be sexed. If you're interested let me know.... the eggs are some what smallish for selling, but for home eating they're great! They're great cold weather birds and have very sweet dispositions... the 2 roosters aren't even aggressive.

I have to build a new brooder to house them all!

Oh yeah... Happy Belated Birthday Boyd!

Hey Vicki, your friend can have my 2 buff ducks. They are beautiful, very sweet, but haven't started laying yet. They were hatched April 15th this year, they're from Metzer's and they are hens. My husband just can't stand them, sorry to say, because I love them, but he's adamant about rehoming them.

Let me know if she's interested.

You should see your Top Hats...they are a riot. They taught themselves to go into their pen at night in about 4 days. They come up to swim in the kiddie pool all day long. My geese still dont tollerate them in the pool at the same time, but at least there is no fighting. The drake just starting breeding this week so we should have eggs pretty soon. Thank you so much for allowing me to have them. They are the talk of our farm.
