It's raining; it's pouring. The old man is snoring. He went to bed and bumped his head, And he couldn't get up in the morning.

I just finished brewing a pot of dark roast coffee and there's a butter pecan cake with cream cheese frosting sitting on the counter. Ya'll care for some?

SJ3364- no water in the house. We have a crawlspace, so the house is not flat on foundation.

Well, at least I got Mom's grass mowed today and even got my front lawn done.
Damn near drown the lawnmower. Luckily, the outboard mower I attached powered me thru the deep stuff. And it didn't affect the salmon spawning on my front porch!

Nancy I think you were a little too slow. However, there may be some on my moustache that I was saving for later.

So tomorrow I'll have at least 24 araucana hatching eggs in my incubator, with some turkeys to fill in the spaces. Since there is a lethal gene at work, plus they are shipped, I don't think I'll get more than 4 out of each dozen. BUT if I happen to hit the motherload and have a really good hatch, surplus chicks will be available to Michigander BYCers first! Cross your crossables that I have a good hatch, since I'd love to share with ya'll.

OMG Kim! I won't complain about the multiple puddles large puddles in our backyard and coops! Hopefully the upcoming hot temps clears that up quick for you!

12 chicks and counting, including my 2 silkies

Considering how none of the chicks lived in the hatch I attempted last month, I'm very happy with this!

I have a question though. One of them has some stuff still attached to his butt from the egg and he was one of the first almost 24 hours ago. Should I try to get it off or just wait?
