The best way to get pics through windows (of any size) is if you have a macro and/or a sunset setting. Or on a custom setting the lower the ISO and shutter speed the better. Also making the room as dark as possible the better. I take my pics in a totally darkened room and just shine a small flashlight on what I want to photograph. Turns out beautifully. Most digital cameras will take beautiful pics through glass with a totally darkened room and the flash with no flashlight, but that can be difficult to focus on what you want to photograph lol. I was fortunate it worked for about 95% of my shots.

I'm sure you knew all of that lol

Congrats on your award! You deserve it!

The multiple uses for a cheap, plastic snow sled:

Moving 220 fire bricks
Getting a couch down steps
(2 sleds) on each end of another couch after the carpet was cleaned so the legs didn't leave dents it the carpet while it dried
Hauling eight 50 lb bags of feed and large pieces of barn wood from the truck to the barn
Cleaning out the barn
Taking weeds to the back field
Moving a very large, long and heavy pig coop about 80 feet
Hauling gardening tools and pots around the property
Throw towels in it and dogs happen to find it quite comfy when you aren't looking (I actually happen to do this with a round sled and a baby blanket when my Toy Poodles were puppies so they must have remembered it)
...and my favorite...fill it with water so the littler Call ducks can swim because they don't like to swim in the pond when the bigger ducks are in it!

Who cares the wheel barrow's tire is dry rotted! lol

All of this (with the exception of the pig coop, that was a couple of months ago) was done in the last 4 days. Because I have a large boot cast on my leg, I can't carry so it works out perfectly!

Lots of great ideas for the plastic sleds. I know Krisrose uses em during the winter to haul things to her barn.
Off to spend the day with the grand kids. You all behave and enjoy the weather. Krisrose and I actually went and bought our plants for our vegetable gardens last night. Now, we got to get out butts in gear and get them planted!

I have a BR that has a bare butt right now too.

I did have fleeting thought of taking my silkies in to dust my furniture..... :chuckles

Okay who lives right near me with some day-old or so chicks?
Could you come over while I am at work and stick some under my Frizzle? She has NOT moved for 4 weeks. I ordered her eggs, and stuck them under her 3 1/2 weeks ago. None hatched. I just took them away. They were bad.
She is not moving- and I feel bad for her, she is sitting tight and doesnt even know I "stole her babies".

There is nowhere close to me that I can grab her a couple babies.

I have to be at work by 1 pm- so Destiny Farms is out. Too far.

Aww I'd gladly give you some of mine if you were closer, especially since most are from my Frizzles.

Have a guy coming from Jackson right now to pick up chicks and ducks. Something got his daughter's last night and she's devastated. ALL of my Frizzles and bantam cochins (the ones FrizzledHen gave me) are laying now. For 3 days I've had eggs from them so I've decided to to stick some in the incubator. I had another lady call and ask if I had bantams. Only 2 I stuck in the incubator last round survived and my daughter's keeping one since 2 of the bantams she got from FFH didn't live long.

All of my ducks are laying again too. Cat food mixed in the feed really works!

Congratulations opa,i am one who has benefitted from your shared experience and wisdom.

Thanks for sharing the camera settings keyt, I have been trying to figure out the best way to take shots through the incubator top.
