Anyone know where I can buy 1 bale of hay in West Michigan? Family Farm and Home doesn't have any and the pet stores sell the equivalent of a flake of hay for $9!

Good Question. Caledonia Elevator usually has some but I just called and all they have is straw ($2.50/bale). Not sure if that would work for what you need.

They carry DE too.

I'm not a big panfish fan, unless I'm using the them for bait. If I do that I use either small pieces of stink bait, corn, hot dogs or bologna to catch the panfish, but I haven't seen one this year! I haven't seen any leeches around here either or they would make great bait for catfish too. Loads and loads of catfish around this year! This was last night's catch of the night....a 23.5 pound flathead...

yummmmmmmmmmmm........................ I want fried catfish- cajun style!!!

Funny thing is, as much of a fishing freak as i am, I've never had catfish. I just can't believe how many there are out there! Aric said if we had the packaging, we could make a killing on them if we sold some. Not only are there a lot, but they're HUGE, and at least 4-5 different kinds. We don't keep any of them because they require cleaning right away and it's not easy like with most other fish.

sj, on M45 (West Olive/Allendale area) there is a sign that says "hay for sale". One of the Tiles farms in that same area sells hay as well...not sure if they are online for not and I don't know their contact info.

There are also lots of listings in the GR area on craigslist:

I've put lavender essential oil on bee stings in the past and it takes that nasty burning away really fast. You need to make sure its the good stuff though... cheaper brands don't work nearly as well. I love Young Living Essential Oils.

that sounds great! I have learned that onions help a lot too but the nasty sting is right by my eye and onions don't work well there...

I have a fellow church goer with extra hay but we are way over here on the lakeshore from you.

Regular toothpaste on those bee stings (not gel). I know it sounds weird but it works. My daughter sat on an underground nest of yellow jackets, she screamed and just sat there, she was only 2 - 3, I ran in a grabbed her but the damage was done. We were both stung but she took the worst of it. Sat her in a cold baking soda bath and then dabbed toothpaste on all the stings.

Oh no. If the swelling gets too bad you might need to see a doctor. Hopefully the swelling and pain goes down! I am just recovering from all the stings I got last week, so I totally understand how much they suck!
