My chicken and duck runs are side by side with a door to the chicken run inside of the duck run. Every day hens will fly up to sit on the door and just stay there. They'll turn around to watch the ducks but none of them have ended up in the duck run. They probably know they'd be in trouble if they did! They don't even jump down outside of the duck run into the grass which they easily could. We used to swat them down but we don't bother anymore because they never stay up there longer than 10 minutes. Crazy birds! lol

Got my hair done yesterday, the swimming and sun dull the color pretty bad (my natrual shade is lovely, but clorine, sun and salt water don't play nice with real hair colors either). Itwas soo hot I ended up rigging up pincurls to get it off my neck. mr saddi being his usual observant self walks past "oh that's really cute, i like your hair that way"

appearently sweaty pinned up mess is the new "it" look?

They found a quarter sized ulcer and he gets surgery on Tuesday, so we put everything on hold while he recovers. Yesterday a box came inside was one of these:

/apparently he didn't think flowers would cover the last argument.

Another warm day is on tap and I'm try to get enough coffee in me to get motivated. I need to go out and load a few more tools in my truck and head off to work. I want to be on the job by 7am and then quit by noon. That way I will be able to avoid the worst of the heat.

I think I may have to contact the BYC staff and have my title changed from "Old Rooster" to Opa wan Chickenobi
