I don't think that I would want to start hatching quail as they would probably be like potato chips. I must admit that last year I was sorely tempted to start raising Gambrels.

Got to go get my 22-250 out of the gun safe and stash it where I'll have quick access to it. A coyote has been strolling across the yard behind the chick coops for the last 3 days and I need to break him of that habit.

quail make excellent "hot wings" just split them in half and treat them as a wing. If you're into something that looks fancy, but is easy, gouda stuffed quail rolled in bacon is excellent.

We released our quail two weeks ago (14 of them). They were "bob whites" and the first few days I could hear them. Nothing since.

I agree, your soap is beautiful and your cupcakes looks adorable and delicious!

While pictures of food can look quite nice, I reserve pronouncing any food "beautiful" until it touches my tongue. That probably explains why I have been called everything a man could be called except twice to eat.

Taprock welcome to BYC and the Michigan thread. I am in St Ignace, so close by.

Jeff so sorry to hear about your troubles, hope you find some nice hens soon.

This is a picture of my oyster shell and granite grit dispensers, they fill from the top and the girls help themselves:

1muttsfan love the grit/shell dispensers! What size PVC are they?

The kids got 6 more 'Scovy ducklings on Thursday.

They now have 8, all puchaced with their own money.

Hope everyone is having a good Saturday!
