While a great number of people become involved in their local governments out of a sense of community responsiblity, far to often cliques will form and the agenda of a few individuals gets ramrodded over the majority. The reason this can happen is apathy. To many folks think what can I as one person do. What you can do is make your voice heard. Others will join it and the first thing you know you have a choir that can't be ignored.

If my grandma hadn't died in April, she would have been 93 last week. If she wanted a few chickens to enjoy during her last years, I would have been behind her all the way! Does this man have family helping him? I just feel SO bad!!!

He has 4 kids, Grandkids, Great Grandkids and Even a Great Great Granddaughter!! They are behind him all the way! Sorry about your Grandma and I know exactly how you feel!! THANK YOU SO MUCH for helping!!!

I would like to remind them that Ann Arbor allows chickens!! The judge in Archie's case owns SEVERAL businesses and properties and has been big on making it THAT DESTINATION. I knew when I saw his name, that Archie was in trouble. The mistake Archie made was trying to do the right thing and went to the council for permission, but that is just the type of guy he is. He is also one who likes to cause a stir and I know he won't back down. I am proud to help him in any way I can and THANK YOU for supporting his rights!! I am blessed to live in the Township and our Township Manager has vowed that he is going to fight tooth and nail to keep the township rural.

That doesn't make sense that he can be charged with not being profitable. All he has to do is contribute to the economy, in my understanding. Really....how many farmers would say they are running profitable operations?? They're all in debt past their ears. For them to say he's only made so many dollars, thus he's not profitable, so he's out, isn't right.

Did anyone follow "Oakpark hates veggies"? such a following!
