Hey Keyt, Have you had your tonsils and adnoid removed? My boys' father just had his removed because of his apnea, as well as his uvula ( that funky little peice that hangs down) and WOW! What a difference. His apnea was so bad that they finally diagnosed him with chronic fatigue which then were able to get him into sleep clinic where they were able to say it was caused by the apnea, and he was able to get insurance to pay for his throat surgery. With in a few weeks, he was sleeping normal and a lot of his chronic fatigue symtoms have gone, like the constant colds that never seem to go away... Just a thought...


On other note... I check Buffy as soon as I got home, she indeed has NOT laid an egg, and seems to be walking a little more uncomfortably. Gonna give her a warm soak in a little bit after I get the cat carrier cleaned out and filled with pine and a dish and waterer for her to have in with her. Good thing I still have the baby chick feeder. Her rear feathers are not looking to clean, but no blood or broke egg, just poo. So, here goes my first chicken washing experience. I'll be an expert after this. Well not really, but know more than I did when I am done.

Yeah, hummingbirds are drinking alot! They are still hitting all the flowers but we can't seem to fill the feeders fast enough. Starting a new run and coop area to separate my roos from my newest chick girls. I decided to keep both BR boys, frick & frack. I hope that works out! Got he second picking of corn yesterday and need to put it up, still have corn from last year - we're blessed! Went to the Hart fair last night and tried not to fall in love with the calves. There was a black and white that would be perfect in my new barn I don't have yet. Well with all this perfect weather we're having let's think about the poor souls out east. My daughter, son/law and grandson, and most of our families live in Mass and Maine, so I hope they "weather" thru the storm!

I heard there is also a vet in Cedar Springs who treats chickens. Some on the site were not too happy with him and I don't know anything about his rates.

Welcome to the newcomers. I love the song- I had no idea that hens could make so much noise. My Asa Browns are fairly quiet, but the New Hampshires make a ruckus. I didn't blame Lucy Goosey (that's what she sounds like) yesterday though, after I saw the 83 gram egg she laid. I'd be yelling too!

Good morning every one! Glad you had a save trip Fifelk, give your dad a hug from all of us. 98 it quite an achievement!
Welcome to all the new-bee's. and those that have returned .
I love 3 day weekends, get them 8 times a yr. that is not many sat. off. almost fineshed netting the rest of my run yesterday, hope to get the rest finished today with some help from DH, got 2 chicken aprons bought and 2 made, on the chickens and seem to be working. got 5 more cut out,2 with wing protectors. now all I have to do is figure out how to protect the front of the neck, Think I will try some blue coat or Desiten. Haven't had that in the house for a long,long time but have read it works. and is cheaper......Love this time of year. you can get so much done out side when it isn't hotter then H.
