Hi Nova, My hen is 1.5 pounds also. She is tiny and SWEET!!
I have two teens so I am trying not to take any medication that would mellow me out. I need my wits about me! Even if I am anxious when chicks have a fit in the car.
The chicks are better today. I think they exhausted themselves yesterday. They did exhaust me - Thanks to all who offered homes. I am going to sleep now and hope that God gives me directions on how to proceed. Prayers would be appreciated. Nancy

ChickGrandma ~ My sincerely condolences on your loss. I've also suffered panic/anxiety disorder since my son was around 2 yrs old, he's now 28 so I fully understand what you go thru. Whatever you do, DO NOT let them put you on Paxil, Ive been on it for years and it has fried my brain. My Doc says otherwise but it's the only thing that could have ruin my concentration, memory and ability to just plain think. Can't work with number in my head anymore. Nothing. Harder than he<< to get off the stuff too. I will pray for you and hope you find a good way to recover.
Wish I could help you with the chickens but I am at my limit. Wanting on half the flock to reach point of lay. ALl my best......

I am normally not a rise before the sun kind of person, but the dogs decided it was time to be up and so it was! They're relentless when they know it is time to get up. I normally feed and let them outside to do their business in a zombie-like state, then crawl back in bed, but today they really wanted a walk. Ah well, walks are good for people too. And so is coffee *sips*

Not even the chickens are up, too early for them!

Morning folks! My last day of work and then it's vacation for me! Yippie!

I am on day 20 in the hatching process and no chickies yet (I don't think). I have no idea what's happening under Blueberry but I am impressed with her ability to flatten herself out like a pancake. There is a wiggling egg in the bator. So I am basically obsessed with checking it every half hour.

Now if I can just get through this work day.

Morning BYC! It's always sad when the mornings grow so dark, not so much because the mornings are dark but because soon the powers that be will mess with the time and the nights will be what we've lost.

No bear worries?? We have one in our area and prior to vacation DH SMELLED it when wallking in our woods. The smell was gone when he returned home but I'm a little hesitant now.....and it isn't light out yet!! Yikes.

Good morning everyone on this wonderful glorious damp dreary day!!! I have a suprise for everyone....take a peak. The only clue I'm giving is = 3.1 oz/87g and 2.8/80g. My reaction =
