lots going on the thread and here at home, I missed most of last weeks posts. We have a computer down. Welcome to the new folk, and I hope everyone is ready for colder weather. I got out my old barn coat and am very thankful for the carhart company on these chilly nights.
All the critters are well but the DD and I have colds knocking us out today. My DH is out again tonight hoping to bring home the allusive venison. Have a great weekend.
Can you find the wolf spider in the water bucket? About sent me into cardiac. They are invading in this cold weather.
SO no wind, no rain... but no sun either here. I take it back. I saw half a heartbeat of blue sky...
I can't find my cat. She's an out door during the spring summer and fall, but usually starts to come back in about this time of year. Last I saw her was 2 days ago... Hope she comes home soon. Weird not seeing her running past the chickens and sending them scurrying. Althou, they do chase her away from her food dish. That is funny. LOL.
Gotta go get my daily egg and do the daily poopoo scrape off. Maybe I can get a picture of Roger...

LOL. I apparently didn't mind as a kid as my mom has a lot of pics of me and my sister dressed up when we were younger, but I distinctly remember as a teen that I wasn't going anywhere near those. They wanted us to wear the hats where I worked, but they refused to let me choose a boy hat so it wasn't pleasant week for me.
DaughterofEve, that is a big spider. My daughter would be hyperventilating at this point.
Ok, the sun finally came out about an hour before the chickens go to bed... so, bout 6. Was nice.
Got the light hung. I think I might need to reinforce the hangings as I am pretty sure the little cochin mutts were looking at it with interest... Like a "wonder if I can get up there" look. LOL. thinking maybe I will bungee cord it along with chain wire. Paranoid here I know. I just need a timer now too.
Well, here is Roger, my exotic ground parrot... I forget who calls their chickens that, but you'll see why I stole it...
I didn't teach him that. I was holding him, and he decided to make his way up my arm, on to my shoulder, and then to the other shoulder, and then doesn't want to get off. Today he even tried the top of my head... NOT HAPPENING!
And here he is from the side. Isn't he a gorgeous boy.
Long cold day on the Huron River. Put in at Flat Rock and drifted down well past Rockwood. Didn't see a single fish although I did see a pair of bald eagles. When we decided to head back it took almost 2 hours to get back to the boat launch.
