Hi Hobiedog!
I live near Robinette's apple orchard which is E. Beltline and 4 mile rd.
Tell us about your chickens!
I have just 3 hens. One older bantam and two young Isa Brown hens.
I am using a heat lamp right now since my young hens are just 6 weeks old.
I have a comfortable shed/coop with pine shavings and I have a covered run.
My older bantam is a jewel. She lays an egg a day like a robot.
Plus she is friendly like a stuffed toy.
My Isa Browns are calm and sweet. What is amazing to me is that they have blue eyes. I have never had a chicken that had anything other than brown eyes.
Welcome to the Michigan Thread!
Holey Bologna, look at the size of this egg I found when I went gathering this morning....
It is by far the biggest one yet, had to be form one of the Brahma's
I didn't know how best to show it's relative size since I don't have an egg scale.
