Oh my gosh Taprock, thank God you are all OK! How scary. I know Tilly was going to freezer camp, but I feel so bad about him being out in the woods alone, like your son. I'm so glad you are all unhurt. Hey, tell the insurance people he was one of those exotic ground parrots that RaZ has and maybe you'll get something for him!

Taprock- So thankful you are alright. I'm sure your hubs has seen some bad accidents over the years working for the road commission. I have been a firefighter for about 17 years and have seen lots of these not turn out so well. Sounds like you had someone looking out for you guys and the chickens. You will have a lot of aches and pains over the next few days, but I'm thankful that will be the worst of it.

Oh my gosh Taprock....What a morning you & your family had....Thank the Lord no one was hurt! Your guardian Angel was watching out for you guys. Cars can be fixed & replaced but loved ones not. Hope the kids aren't shaking up too much & hopefully Tilly shows up for you. Maybe you can find in him roosted some where.

We have a friend who very recently went thru the ice on a snowmobile in Canada while hunting. His core temp went down to 89* and Dr.s said 5 more minutes he'd have been a goner. He's back in Bay City now finally. He wife won't let him go again.

OH TAPROCK!! How horrible! Thank God everyone was ok and I really hope you get back your lost chicken too!! I'm so sorry .....that is very scary I know and your son is going to be upset for sometime.

it was so funny watching a couple of my hens "skate" across a small ice puddle....their first, they didn't know what to think.
