Up and at em.The gang is crowing and scratching.Warm out but snow is on the way.I think I need to fire up the bator getting to be about that time.I was looking at all the pix.I really didn't like the ees but as time goes on I really enjoy this breed.The hens are beautiful.And the roos are outstanding.Everyone enjoys the different colored eggs in their cartons as well.And the little comb is a big plus.

Site works better with my computer than with my android phone (Droid X2), so that is something. More and more people are going to be using their devices like iphones and android platform devices, so they are going to have to do something to address those problems. The old format worked fine with my Droid.

Hot chocolate and peppermint schnapps ....

x2 on the old format. Worked great with my iPhone. This one does not.

I have not been on this site for ever so long. Too busy. Am surprised at the changes... just need to roll with the punches . One can learn anything with enough patience, tenacity and a kid who is savvy with web sites ;-)
It has been so warm here in Northern MI that my ducks are all laying ?? What gives? They don't start until March??? My "Girls" finally are laying again ... real spotty fro the last 2 months but better now. The size difference between duck eggs and my Banty "Girls" is funny.. You would think Godzilla was laying eggs. Hope everyone stays warm... looks like a storm coming.. don't know how much partly cloudy I will need to shovel tomorrow ... but every day is a day closer to Spring.

I just want to sit here and get caught up, but have to run. Co ops today (homeschooling) and we won't be home until after my son's basketball game tonight. Should be slick roads for the trip home. I have a pic of birds under a trailer, too....I'll post it here if I can find it quickly.



OK...I think I'm liking this new format. that was quick and much easier!

What a day! Thanks for being here today, it sure was fun,... Jack's Big Music Show
Anyway. I wish I had had my camera on me earlier today. I was not going to give the ducks fresh water, expecting that we were going to get nasty weather today, well, we are, but not till tonight here in Holland. Well, any who, they were snapping, or what ever it is that ducks do... Clack? on the end of the water hose. Was so funny. I go look in the nest boxes, as I put another in the coop, and there is an egg in the top box and 3 chickens in the lower box. Now whats really funny about that is my poor little Skeeter was SQUISHED between Vanna, who is by far the biggest, and Aster, who is the Australorp costumed EE.(She is a royal witch)

I head back to the garage to go in thru there since I never unlocked the front door, and who is in the next box/cat carrier? Mr Fluffers is in there making a nest for Skatter. I think he might have gotten himself into a smaller space than he was thinking. He's a big guy after all. LOL. Such a worthlessly gentleman. LOL. Not good for chasing off squirels, but good for being a gentleman. LOL. Oh, he does fight with the Neighbors rooster when he gets to close to our hens. BUT, then again, our hens are in the neighbors yard! LOL. And vice versa...

I have an opportunity to get a new Buffy this weekend. She is an 8 month old, hatched in May 2011. Also available are chicks that are now 2 weeks old... SO... Gonna ask the neighbor if I can use her cage for the chicks, and she if they will want half. The girl who has them is named Jen Luttrel, she is in Newago, anyone heard of her? I am going to quarantine.

Anyway, have to go to work now.

Which iPhone are ya'll using that you're having trouble? Just curious as it seems to be working fine on my 4S, but maybe there's a difference in operating systems that's causing the problem?
