It's starting to snow here and it's been windy all night long. Maybe we will get a real snow this time.
I'd like to just go back to bed and sleep through it, but today is my long day at school and I have an appointment with my advisor.

Will be stopping by the organic feed farm after my meeting so that should be fun. I'll keep you posted on how the new feed is.

It is snowing so hard here at work that I cannot see the road from my window and that is only about 80 yards away.

I love it when it snows by the way.

With the snow blowing so hard I have decided that I can not leave my boots on the porch like usual.

The downside is, and you may also be aware of this, rescue people (of all varieties--wildlife, dogs, cats, reptiles, whatever) in a general sense tend toward the crazy. Not everyone! (And of course NOT any of you fine people on this list who have done rescue! But I'm sure those of you who have done rescue will back me up...) Rescue people are generally very dedicated and sincere! Especially the crazy ones!

I have done Cocker Spaniel for 30 years. Am I crazy? Oh you bet I am. I'm sure the stupid person who THREW a little cocker spaniel out of the window of a moving car into my yard one time will back that up about me being crazy !!!! Especially after I chased them down. Was NOT a pretty scene. Dedicated and sincere ? Absolutely. Misuse an animal and I will hunt you down. After all, they didn't choose to be with you, we choose them !
God put these animals here for OUR benefit. He didn't put us here for theirs.

Frowns for everyone who's having /had chicken whoas, sad to hear & something that is never fun to deal with.

Smiles for everyone else!

Sun is out and shining here but very cold. That air has a nasty nip. I just purchased a couple bags of feed on Sunday from TSC so I should be set for a while. I need to mix my oyster shells into it. Don't know how much of the shells they actually eat....seems they always pick through it first and always leave some in the bottom of the feeder.

As for ChickenStock 2012.....I hope we wear name tags with our proifile name on it. Lord knows I will never be able to keep all the names & faces straight without a little help!!

Well, my little porcelain d'Uccle went broody today. She is sitting on 6 eggs. 5 of her own and 1 Quail D'Anver. Can't wait to see the babies.

Yes, we will wear name tags with both our screen name and our real name.... but it still does not help when you are so forgetful like me
