very nice day out there- minus the sun..I hope it decides to join us today.

I have set the 24 eggs. My mixed mutt group. ANDDD- added an automatic turner to the fun. yay me!

My van is still down. I hope hope hope my husband can piece it together and get it running again.

I have daffodils and crocus growing...I whispered to them to get back in the ground- its February in Michigan. They are too early..

I saw the sparrows gathering nesting material from the straw bale. They are too early, too.

How many days until April 1st?

awww, my babies...they are not ugly, they are sweet..

yep, sounds like my son- but its too bad that he has to be such a ^&**%%() to everyone while he is feeling that way.

I wonder if he even has much control over the anger and being so nasty. I know I have a hard time controlling it

A dead white plastic bag in my neighbors yard just made me run outside barefoot. I thought it was one of my silkies.

I almost got out of bed at 4:30 to see if anyone was up! The Hubby decided to stay up last night and watch the bait pile for predators. He saw two fox on their way past and shot at a coyote at 4:00. Our dog is scared of the gun and he was shooting from the kitchen window, so needless to say I had Leo the dog jumping on me because he was scared. I believe I was a bit grumpy

when DH came to tell me he shot one. He's out now following tracks on snowmobile. He followed it to where it left our property last night.

This morning I have some special Leelanau Coffee, Chocolate Almond Royal. I'd share but it would be cold by the time I got there.

It would be solid gunk by the time you got to me!

Yea, the weather can be totally weird up here. But my Dad who lives downstate in Pinckney has commented that while he sees grey skies most of the winter, but I see sunny skies most of the winter. Just remember, when it is clear as a bell, it is as cold as Hell ( as cold or colder than the ice cream freezer at Screams in Hell, MI, that is)!

I was out in the lean-to next to the coop..looking for eggs, gathering misc. trash, etc. Most of my girls were out in the yard, I had two for company- one sitting on the nest.
Suddenly, I heard gravel hitting the roof- as if something was sliding down the house roof. Spooked my girls inside- everything squawking and flappibng willynilly scattering everywhere.
I figured a hawk had just swooped down and snatched my pigeon, or one of the chickens.

Came out from under the lean-to to discover....no, not a hawk. One of my fruitloop Polish had flown up onto the roof, and slid down. Scared the whole group, and itself.
