What a great day it was for organizing & cleaning outside. So glad when I was able to jump in the shower!! I was on a roll and couldn't stop for long. I got my shed organized with a little help from my DD and then DH & I went to town on the garage. DH was a somewhat annoyed by the time we decided to call it quits because I kept tossing stuff he did not need and had no use for nor would have use for in it in the future!! My DH is sorta of a pack rat. DS felt it was too nice of a day to spend working so he spent the afternoon trying to avoid hitting the chickens as he rode his quad.

Raz....your uggos are getting so big and you dog looks so sweet.

Yorkchick.....love the pic of Henry! He standing on his tippy-toes. lol

Olive.....is your hen still roosting in the tree? That's along ways up to climb & get her.

Here's a couple pics from today.

My DD's handy work....Found the sticker/letters in the garage. lol

These 2 Buff Orps spent almost the entire afternoon doing this!

Thanks yorkchick and farmerboy16 for the nice greetings. Looking at a busy summer and the processing is my next challenge to meet and knock down. Nice grain bin, wish I had one now. Scaling up is something I will do if things work out and margins are good. Great site and glad people are willing to share. Thanks, Fred
You are welcome. :) I really would like to help with the processing. Just let me know when you are ready. I had brought that feed bin used and dented for 500.00! :yesss:
Farmerboy...... how often do need to fill that nice shiny feed bin?
I had a 1000 pounds of feed put in last November after I got my corn harvested, and still have a few more weeks worth left for 18 grown chickens, 2 ducks, 7 peafowl. Soon I will be feeding the young chickens breeder mash soon, so I will be going through more feed. I still have over 5000 pounds of corn left in the feed mill bank. :D Cattle Cait- :welcome Have fun here!

The Not-so-Uggos are about 14 weeks old now and darn near as big as the BO. They still roost with the little BLA at night but during the day they do their own thing. Poor little Gravy is left all alone. I think I need another banty or 2 to keep her company during the day. (That is a hint). When it is windy, the Not-so-Uggos like to stay in the coop. I think they don't like the breeze blowing up their skirts.

The dog in the picture is Bella, my Cata-Healer (Catahula x Blue Healer), she was a rescue dog from an abusive family and after a blending in period, has turned out to be one of the best dogs that I have ever had. She is a wonderful watchdog for the flock and the hens seem to like her too.

eta: Forgot the picture...
