Today I was offered some newborn pygmy goats - last thing I need right

Well I finally got to enjoy some nice weather. Unfortunately it was not in Michigan. I spent the day at our house in GA mowing, and trimming, and digging out boxwood bushes, and replanting them, and planting hostas. I am beat. I can't wait to get back to Michigan tomorrow night!

I finally took the plunge and ordered 15 chicks today from Townline.

They should be arriving in about a month. Hopefully I will have the coop finished by then! I need some warm, dry days to really go to town on it. Unfortunately, when I am in town, the weather is cold and rainy. Anybody have quick attach pallet forks for a compact tractor? I need to borrow or rent some for a little project.

The redtail hawks territory is about a ten mile radius. They will go to other areas and hunt in that radius, but they'll be back.
Hot, hot, hot!! Way too hot too soon.
Juise, adorable pics of your little girl!!

Wow! Lots of action on this thread!

Juise - those photos are so cute! Hope you can enter them in some of the photo contests on BYC.

Jaime - Congratulations on another layer!

Mom2 - I had a fast heart rate also. When I woke up and kept still and recorded my pulse - it was 90 beats per minute. Stood up and it was 100 beats per minute. Went on for a couple years.
I started yoga. 3 months later I went to the doctor for my quarterly check up. Pulse 72. The nurse stared at me. 'What did you do?' I had to think.........'well, I started yoga.....'. Hasn't gone back up. I do yoga once or twice a week. The mellow GENTLE YOGA. The beginners style. Very relaxing and evidently there is something to that posing, relaxing, breathing that we do.

I took a quick trip to the big box store and picked up a few fence panels that were missing some slats. Got the whole batch at a great sale price. All I had to do was reattach the slats. This will keep my dog out of the back butterfly garden. A couple more panels to put up to keep her out of the raspberry patch.

My hops are loving this weather. Yesterday they were only knee high, today they are waist high or taller.

Hopefully I can get to this bed over the weekend, it needs a major clean up. Just like everything else around here.

When I say I can't cut strait... Well, you will have to see. LOL. It is that bad. LOL. I did not even take the doors off. SO, You will see.

I did get the winter run roof off. I started putting the 2x4s in place to make the slope... grade... whatever... HOWEVER, I will have to bondo all the little holes from the screws. Oh hell, who am I kidding. I will use duct tape and I know it.

As for the arm... its right on the side... not the front, not the back... the side where the muscles come together. AND why is it spelled muscles? I mean... that really does say MUSKLES... just like knife. My dad would always pronounce the k just to annoy the heck out of my mom.

Can you believe Meijer was out of potato salad and hot dog buns? yeah. wrong. so wrong.

The fence looks great Raz! - even better since you got it at a great price. I didn't know you had butterfly gardens and hops too on your farm. Do you make your own brew with the hops you grow?

Is it a holiday or something? Or is the weather so nice in Michigan on this first full day of spring that everybody is having cookouts?

The chicks in the brooder are certainly feeling the spring. They are springing all over the place trying to establish pecking order. The silver laced Wyandottes are the major instigators. Only the BSLs are calm, almost to the point of being aloof.
