I wonder why the gas company seem to think the people in Livingston county need to pay more for gasoline. Yesterday Hope wanted to go to look at a car for sale in Chesaning and my truck was approaching the empty mark. I checked gas prices with GasBuddy.com and found that in Howell was $4.08 and Owosso it was $3.77. My gas gauge read 45 miles to empty and mapquest said it was 41 miles. Needless to say I opted to get gas there and hope we had enough fumes to make it. When your tank holds 37 gallons 31 cents is enough incentive to risk it.
I never could never understand the pricing differences when it comes to gas. Always thought it was regulated and that it should be one price/same price at all stations. I try to watch the prices and get the best deal but when I need to fill up, I do, regardless of the price....one of those things I have no control over.

As for coffee.....I need the leaded type.

Morning....

I did my grocery shopping htis morning after I finished work, and decided to stay up until the sun was up enough to let my chickens and ducks out. No sooner did I have everyone out and happy, then 3 hawk flew over top. They didn't circle, just flew over top headed for the woods. I hope they aren't hungry for nuggets... LOL. As pretty as they are, and I do like seeing them, I'd like to continue to see them elsewhere.

I have 2 roos in the chuckles coop that are crowing now. I am glad they still sound like plugged up bugles. I think Roopert is not going to be a stick around rooster. I think he iwll be dinner. Rock and Stone are very good boys. They let me pet them with out trying to take my hand off. Roopert... nope. He is not having it. SO I snatched him up and forced him to be still, and he had his hackle feathers all flared out. Yup. AND last night, he was chasing poor little Skeeter all over the place and would not give up until Fiametta decided to take action and attacked his butt. That was funny, cuz Fia is a BIG girl. She's bigger than Mr. Fluffers in height. Not as fat as my dottes, but she's BIG. Well anyway, she's doesn't take crap and I do believe that by the end of the year, she will be Queen Fiametta. LOL. Well, anyway, I hope its just his hormones, cuz I was really considering keeping him because he is such a beauty. I think though, that I would be deluding myself If I believed he'd be a good roo towards people. He really is the only one in that coop who has a problem being handled. He was also aggressive like that when he was in the brooder. Oh well. I like BBQ chicken.

I need a nap.

"I'm mot trying to scare you, just inform you....Do not play around with the heart."

I'm going to have that tattooed on my chest. Along with the lead-in, "Dear future ex-wife"...

If you do decide to tattoo it, I hope you do a spell check on it first!!! LOL!

31 cents isn't enough incentive for me to risk another fuel pump. I try not to let the tank hit below 50% anymore. Times gas prices are up I have a 5 gallon container to tide me over.

Good morning Michigan, sunny and cold this morning, looks like it will be a beautiful day. Put 64 eggs into lockdown this morning, out of 92 originally set - almost all shipped so I am not unhappy.

Gas is $3.15 here

Lion head bunny's eyes are finally starting to open! They're so cute at this stage. If anyone is interested in a bunny PM me! (I may be keeping this one though)
I have 2 white w/pink eyes
2 blue and one black, and the one below.

Opa, nice job on the wood carving... I'd stick with the oil paints/stains because the acrylic could lift the wood fibers.

It's funny, I never was a fan of coffee... always had to drowned the taste of it with cream and sugar... but since I've gotten older, I have a hard time starting the day without it. The company I work for provides free coffee for everyone (which is nice, and part of the reason I've been drinking it) and if a machine goes down or someone doesn't make a pot after they empty one... it's time to break out the torches and pitchforks! One day someone posted a sign in the lunch room "If you drink the last of the coffee and leave an empty (or close to being empty) pot without making a new one.... You fail at life. Don't be *that* person, ok?" LOL! Coffee can bring out the best in people when you have it, and the worst in them if you don't have it.

Happy Hump Day!

3.99 for gas in Napoleon yesterday... It was 4.15.

I couldn't put up with a crazy neighbor either... I'd put her trash back, set it on fire, and then call the township or fire department on her for burning trash in her yard. She'd probably get a hefty fee for burning without a permit or something....Two can play at that game, and I will always win!

Dont let her do stupid crap like that. She has you going to court over your hens. Why let her put her trash in the middle of your front yard?
OR if you werent going to call the police, you should have THROWN her bin back into her front yard. Or set it on fire. BS, stop letting her do whatever she wants. Crazy or not.

I agree! I wouldn't put up with that! I was taught very well about how to not put up with rude neighbors...like when we were growing up our neighbors dog would bark all day (we lived on the edge of town at that time) so my dad asked her to quiet it up...she didn't. So he strapped a flashlight to his head and started mowing the yard at 2am

A little extreme and crazy but funny! Always give them a chance...I would go over and tell her you really would appreciate her not doing that and give her the opportunity to be a good neighbor...and if she refuses or keeps doing it...then let the games begin! LOL

Nova, It could go either way. Of the 3 roos i've already had, i had 1 who always bit me and flared, but it was because he was scared. (so depends if he's scared or mad) Anyway, My boy i keep is a handful, and i always have to be wary, but is a lap baby when "off duty", however i will never be able to trust him around others without being there. Roo number 3 was ok being handled, but didn't like it and was buck wild. Never bit, just wild. Of the 3 roos, fright biter was the only one that never atacked.

edited to add for any newbies, DON'T LET KIDS PLAY WITH YOUR BIRDS WHEN NOT THERE! especially roosters. (At least until you know you can trust the kid to be nice and respectful) What they think is cute and funny may not be for him. My neighbors thought it was cute that their 2 year old went to visit my birds in the early AM, I get there one day to find the kid laughing hysterically and flogging the fence, and the roo flogging the fence on the other side. I grabbed that kid, and dragged him home and gave them what for but the damage is done. :(
