Juise - Gotcha! In that case it is pretty accurate. It's physically possible to milk a pig, but you're not going to run around saving infants with the practice. And especially not with wild pigs.

Excellent! I wouldn't want Sir Terry Pratchett to let me down on these little details.

I am going to have to look the passage up now, though, and give you the gory details of how he does get the milk.

The burn pit is nearly empty. I am going to take the leaf blower to it tomorrow and put on a mask, and blow the ashes out into the woods. I will make sure its not smoldering first. BUT, I figure it'll be a good place for it. Actually, I will take a few shovels full to the side of the house where they dust bathe. I thought I read some place that wood ash helps repel lice and mites. I like that. I could be wrong. Could be an old wives tail, but, hey... old wives sometimes know a thing or two.

I have 5 days till school break is over... Yes, I am counting down.

Juise, how are the girls doing today? Have anymore started showing symptoms?

Actually, they were looking better today. I am hoping to be able to pick up the swab tomorrow, but it will probably be Friday before I can actually get it done because I have a feeling I would like another adult involved in this procedure, at least the first time I do it, lol.

I believe you were saying something about food beds? Wood ash is excellent to turn into your garden soil.

Oh, I have been meaning to ask, could i give the little chickens scrambled eggs from the big chickies? Would that be helpful for them while sick? It couldn't pose a hazard to them if they're cooked thoroughly, right?

I dont think I have ever eaten rabbit...I like trying different types of animals but that one I've never yet had. What's it taste like? Chicken? haha

Oh man rabbit is sooo good! :) I don't desciminate...I eat my pets LOL (ok, not my dogs or cats...they'd go last)

Anything you can do with chicken you can do with rabbit. ShakeNbunny, shredded bunny sandwich, sloppy loppys, bunny and noodles, bunny tacos....the list goes on and on

All the sudden I feel like Bubba on Forrest Gump!

Juise, I have a bad habit of just throwing an egg out the slider to where they are! Raw! Usually the duck eggs if I accidentally break one while I am cleaning them. Considering they are always so dirty, I just can't eat em if I break em. But yeah, they can eat them scrambled up, and if you have some, scramble some fresh garlic clove in with it.

Juise - M.S.U. needs the swab sampled overnight so I don't know if it is a good idea to send it to them on Friday to arrive on Saturday - I don't know that the lab is open on Saturday. There is a phone number on the form I emailed you. Perhaps you can call and ask before you spend the money to test and mail.
