My parents went to TC today and took my sewing machine in... again. So my mom calls me and tells me it will be $400.00 to be fixed and they may not be able to get some parts. She asks me if I want to get a new machine.... uhhh no money mom. So she asks if I would like a new used machine....uhh again mom no money. Well it seems good old Dad convinced my mom she needed a new machine while at the shop and so now she is giving me her "old' machine. It is not old and I'm not sure why he thinks she needs a new one but I am just going to be thankful that he always wants her to upgrade! Now maybe I can get my sewing projects done.

I'll bet you that he didnt REALLY think she needed an upgrade...it was probably one of those things that parents do where they pretend they needed to replace something so they could actually get something for you. Mine do that sometimes, and I always appreciate those type of white lies! haha

So my interview wasn't really an interview, as I expected, but it was more like job shadowing, kind of. I just sort of followed around the tech that already works there, helped her do a couple x-rays, watched how they do things, helped w/a couple small things. I think it was mainly to see how I got along with the other girls there & vice versa and how we all meshed. I liked them all and I hope they liked me too...she said she will call me on Monday and I hope it's to say "when can you start?"

She did ask me about my availability so I hope that's a good sign....

I dont think that'll be too hard really, because I'll be busy Fri & Mon, then this weekend I'll be pretty busy too except on Sunday. I hope to do not much of anything on Sunday except hang out w/my chickens and cook something delicious for the man. Maybe some BBQ ribs...mmm

And... this silkie chick.. he's much dirtier looking than my other silkies, they are comming in white for sure... but I'm not sure about this one (there's nothing to make his feathers dirty either, could he be a splash or blue?

Hello I was wondering if there were any Malay breeders in MI? I have a couple bantam malays but I bought them from a dishonest man who said they had no defects but they really had split wing (a disqualification), which I didnt know about at the time. I like showing and would like to do my best to improve the breeds I own, and split wing is nearly impossible to breed out. But I love the malays and would love to find some show or breeder quality birds (or eggs).

I have no idea, but someone will jump in soon.........
